Try downloading gateless gate miner.  It's the only miner that works for my AMD cards.

Mine was fine after the update, but now it got stuck on "new_restart_required". When I did a restart it went to "expired".
I did another restart and it's now on "pre_enable".

I see many of the nodes are on "new_restart_required"...

You don't need to update Ubunutu (although you should install any security patches as they are released).

The issue is that you need to download and run the latest version: 0.12.1.7 (which unfortunately still calls itself 0.12.1.6) as the code was forked to change retarget difficulty, and all wallets/masternodes running the old code are now excluded from the network by the new version.  You can download them from https://github.com/vivocoin/vivo/releases (note that you should never trust a URL given in a user's post like this, I've just put it there for convenience, you should go to the main announcement or website and follow the link there to find the official wallets).

Thanks for the tip. I did in fact download the new update and extracted it. Today I heard that you should delete the wallet and peers and conf files (after backing them up). After that run and sync the wallet then copy the files back.
Which I have now done... waiting to see if my node gets pass "pre_enable" phase now.

./vivo-cli sendtoaddress "vivoaddress" "amount"
where vivo address is an address you control and amount is the amount you want to send.
Send just 0.1 vivo first to test that you receive it OK.
