So are you saying minting the POS is actually a waste of gas?

At the moment yes, its wasting gas because a new dev is already developing a new token: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3233448So the chance that another dev will takeover POS is not very high. I will mint 1 time per month, thats not so expensive ... and who knows ...

Ok but what is the pourpose of all this? Why "new" token? Apart from the fact the many new tokens gets spawned everyday. Why this should replace POS? Sorry for the maybe newbie's questions, but I'vent followed POS lately.

The original dev is gone and PoS is effectively dead. So some guys decided to start a new coin with the existing community.

The original dev is gone and PoS is effectively dead. So some guys decided to start a new coin with the existing community. And new guys don't have private keys to access old dev accounts so they had to come up with a way to somehow continue development and reward the PoS token community. They opted for new token and some sort of airdrop/token swap. I am not sure that they will succeed with that, but it is much better than abandoned project. For more info visit the discord of the new token or ANN page. Links are on the previous page I believe.

It's a 3:1 swap. It's a bit unfair. Sounds like they're inheriting the dead state of the coin as well.

I fortunately already gave up this project, and I joined ACC (Accelerator) Token has the same effect and POSToken, there is 300% POS in the first year, 100% in the second, 50% in the third, and so on ...
coinexchange has fixed the wallet, fully functional for deposits and withdrawals in coinexchange the ticker is like (ACCL).
supercomputer expansion started earlier this month.
I am simply loving the project .. active team and always with news ..
now is in a great time to buy Tokens .. due to the BTC inquiries in recent months some weak hands have taken action there are several orders with low prices ...
I leave here my gratitude to the community, POSToken ... who wants to be part of Accelerator, with a great project .. stable and quality and with 100% active team .. the moment is now ...
Strong hug.
if i remember it correctly they were exist because of PoSToken right ? because they were copying what PoSToken did such as Smart Contract stake system and other stuff. even they gave an airdrop to them who held some of PoSToken on their wallet. so what make it so different compared to this project ? They are using PoSToken standard and yeah they did give small amount of ACC to PoS holders. ACC is utility token, you can mine other coins such as ether, monero, etc with it. And they have their own exchange too. Ok but what is the pourpose of all this? Why "new" token? Apart from the fact the many new tokens gets spawned everyday. Why this should replace POS? I guess so, you should mint once every 90 days and then wait for a miracle. So will all the mined postoken from the past months be eligible for the snapshot?
It depends. If you minted them before the snapshot then yes. If it was after then no. When is the snapshot? It's already taken. I dunno exact details but there will be manual swap as well.

So are you saying minting the POS is actually a waste of gas?
For now it is as the Developer is no where to be found and POS has no usefulness which is why there is no volume at the Exchange.

The Dev logged into his BTT account this month. Who knows maybe he is trying to come back and safe the project from dying..

The developer of the project left sometimes in February. He has not be found yet after then. But a new developer among the members of the community is willing and ready to take over the project, do a snapshot and swap the new token with the old no value POSTOKEN.

1 POS = 0,00000618 BTC or 0,055 $, its nothing ... Developer abandoned the project and made a scam, so there are no new ideas. But a new developer from this thread tries to make an airdrop for all POS Holder, look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3233448.0

Thinking out of the box, are we sure that the new team has no relation to the old dev? I mean, there could be chances that the old one is hiding as a new person and pretending to be a community member that wants to revive PoStoken. Moreover, the old dev last login was on April 17. There are already discussions about the possible new token here on this topic at that time, isn't weird that he didn't posted/commented anything? (I don't take away the possibility that he/she's just afraid to post and face us here ) This is just a random thought

Dough dev just want to reward PoSToken holders, there will be 3 types of swap with 1:3 ratio (1 Dough/3 PoSToken).

Developer abandoned the project and made a scam, so there are no new ideas. In what way is now a "scam"?
