Perhaps i was looking at the mobile site which don't show much ads on the main activity page and make the assumption.

I think they should have made some profit from ads just not sure what is the issue now. Might just be purely scam that was planned earlier.

Maybe, but some things don't fit. "Next payment" on the site still shows a past date. The "last paid" date is more than 2 weeks ago. Not a good facade now if trying to mislead. And with the user count growing rapidly, it would be smarter to let it run some more before disappearing.
