There are a lot of coins that fail, because almost all of the cryptocurrencies went down from a long while. If Bitcoin goes down, so the others will. There are coins that have bright and good future even now, yet they could not be seen right now, the reason for it is the market condition.

There are in fact a lot of good coins, but you cannot buy all of them we have to choose some among all coins. In my opinion, bitcoin is the only one that has clear future. I would prefer to invest less than %50 of my money in other coins.

There are some new coins emerging everyday but I would choose those which have real world applications or the ones which community backed up. Recently bought some zencash and increased my bag with bitquence, both of them are going to be successful.

I think coins that worth keeping are bitcoin, waves, and ethereum. As we all know, a lot of people are into bitcoin because of it's volatility in the market. It can go up and down in a few folds. Ethereum and Waves are worth keeping because each has a different platform and most coins use their platform for trading. This coins has good potential too.
