According to me i think that the answer is "it depends". It depends if we looking for short-middle-long time. For example in short time bitcoin is a very bad choice because if his price go 100$ upper, it represent a little increase globaly. Bitcoin explain own best face on middle and long time but you would be able to change the trend if another blockchain take part on the ecosystem significantly. Furthermore i think that network effect and age bring bitcoin to the highest level of resiliency. Lastly, i think that the best coin to invest is the next.

im holding ripple and stellar now for long term,i also have litecoin and xmr which im planning to add in my long term holdings.
As of now im into Tron in day trading ,
I guess holding solid coins for long is much profitable,but if you have coins which u bought below 1$ each then its cool to hold it even untill it reaches 10$ each.
