IMO it is probably going to be around $3k-$4k by the end of 2017. I would expect the hype to slow down a bit before the end of 2017 since the pump has gone on for way too long, longer than even the 2013 pump which is pretty crazy.

I expect a correction here and there in the next 3 months that could most likely drive the price down. But at the same time, i expect the price to rise a bit in this current month, and the two forces will cancel out each other, and therefore $3k-$4k is my prediction.

Still, a lot depends on what happens this month regarding the fork. It could continue rising till the end of the year if the fork goes well.

If the Fork could really goes well but what if it doesn't? then we will see the crashing down on price, but hoping it can be as smooth as it is and we will never see a problem in part of getting into a fork, and I really wish that it will be a success and I guess there will be no split that may occur on November because the recent one is enough for the time being.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

funnily enough there are a wide range of speculation about the price of bitcoin by the end of this year and most of them are speaking of very huge prices such as $10,000 and above.

i personally don't know anymore Smiley
before activation of SegWit things were more predictable, with a slow rise over time. but SegWit put an end to the old scaling debate and opened up way for bigger rises. we saw the rise from $2400 to $4000 (mostly) because of it. and we can expect much more at a faster pace.

your 8K prediction no longer seems far to me.

I agree!  It is true I believe $10k  is even reachable at the end of the year.  We have seen how fast bitcoin price grow and this is not just a pump or bubble and there is a reason for this.  The upcoming series of update right after this August 1 upgrade is initiated.  Scaling will not be an issue to Bitcoin anymore if this is perfectly done.  AFter that bitcoin will be ready to be at the mainstream where majority of people in the world can transact in Bitcoin without any hassle.

Yes indeed, it may reach $ 10k in early 2018, because if we look back at the beginning of 2017 bitcoin from the price of $ 1000 per coin and until now bitcoin about $ 4500 per coin. the popularity of bitcoin makes the world's companies also interested in Bitcoin technology, especially allowing the decentralization of financial networks and Blockchain, where all Bitcoin transactions are recorded.

How much do you think a single Bitcoin will be worth when we celebrate the New Year?

I am estimating that it will be around 8k (no evidence just a gut feeling), i think it will fluctuate and go higher but will stablise at 8.
I’m more conservative in my estimates I think we are going to see a price of 5000 and this can change if the miners do not make another fork, if that does not happen then I guess 6500 is possible.
I think that's difficult to predict because nobody knows future besides bitcoin is getting better and better to provide the needs of everybody. Having said that bitcoin will become more successful this year. This could lead to a more fruitful years to come and who knows one day everyone or all over the world people will be united through this digitized money and more generous to one another.
It is difficult to predict the price of bitcoin, just look at what happened in the last weeks but it is one of the most important things to do especially if you want to profit from bitcoin on the long term.

I don't think that the trend of crazy upwards growth is going to carry over to 2018.

This is simply because after the hype there is always a year or two where nobody talks about bitcoin at all. The price usually suffers greatly as a consequence because of the lack of media coverage as well as user interest.

I'm not sure whether this bubble is going to continue till the end of the year, if it does then $7-8k is possible. But if it collapses before that, then we'd be looking at $2k-3k.

IMO it is probably going to be around $3k-$4k by the end of 2017. I would expect the hype to slow down a bit before the end of 2017 since the pump has gone on for way too long, longer than even the 2013 pump which is pretty crazy.

Still, a lot depends on what happens this month regarding the fork. It could continue rising till the end of the year if the fork goes well.

I share a similar opinion to you. I think that btc price is going to correct down to around $3000-$3500 and just hang around that level until the end of the year. This should happen in stages, the correction from $5000 down to where we are right now is the first one of them.

If the hype continues and the NY agreements is carried out successfully and seamlessly then we could see bitcoin going over $5k and staying above that level until the end of the year.

These are pretty volatile times, and it is really hard to accurately predict the prices. As a general rule of thumb though, don't put anything that you aren't ready to lose into bitcoin right now. It is still near ATH and you just never know when it's going to come down.

You are correct but even If nothing happened the fact that bitcoin remained for two years with such a high price will be noteworthy, everyone will understand that bitcoin is not joke and that the next bull market could make bitcoin touch 10k.

This should be in the Speculation board.

My prediction wouldn't be a wild one but I expect an $8000 mark by the end of this year or back to $2000 ranges if Antpool continues to act childish which may turn some potential investors off. Weird thing is even if there are bad things that happened for the first quarter of this year, the price continued to surge.

I have high hopes that it would be the same trend for the rest of the year.

I expect the same by the end of this year. There are so many speculations saying bitcoin price will reach this amount or that amount by the end of the year. Speculations are nothing but people's hope to see what they want happened. My thoughts on this, is that the value of bitcoin would be around $7-8k by the end of this year.

I just hope btc will keep increasing. But before that I want it to have even a short downfall for me to be able to buy some more btc before it pumps t the moon. Btc is too expensive to have now but I know its still worth it.

Fluctuate always remain in bitcoin price, but bitcoin not down too much, still bitcoin has a way of growing. Up and down always remain but instead of it bitcoin will be grow and in the end of 2017 i think bitcoin will be stopped at $5000 to $5600. It is enough growth and also in this year, at least bitcoin reach in this price, more than it i don't think so it is possible in this year. But the new year sure give us more happiness for us in bitcoin wise.

There are baseless predictions and predictions based on the analysis of the charts and the patterns of bitcoin but at the end it does not matter how good is the trader there are things that are impossible to predict, like the recent news that came from China.
