Is religion necessary for humans?

Religion is the purpose and guideline in one's life, it tells you about your life like how you should live it, what should  be your moral values ,what you should do and what you shouldn't.  It tells you your path to follow and religious teachings.  But unfortunately now people have made Religion so different and difficult to preach and follow that is creating intolerance and choas in our world . Mostly Religion teaches us patience, love,respect, tolerance and understanding.

What some of you call the "hope" that religion gives its adherents can be called more clearly "illusion" simply because it offers promises based on the unknown according to visions established in ancient times through a series of myths and irrational interpretations.

It is enough to ask simple questions about the nature of religion to reach dead ends that the human mind cannot deal with. Personally, I do not tend to believe easily in postulates, and I also do not advise dealing with them blindly. There are many non-religious societies and we have not seen dangers like the ones that religious people warn of.

So far, religion has often been a propaganda medium that is often ridden by people who have an interest in it.often, religion is only considered a myth in the era of science as it is today.
in fact, humans can still be moral even without being bound by religion, humans still have a good conscience without being supported by religion.

however, there is nothing wrong if someone believes in his religion without exception. as well as people who choose not to be diverse, basically beliefs are individual and do not have to be forced. almost all religions teach good things, related to claims in the name of religion, I think it is up to each one to believe it or not. it's up to the choice.
Unfortunately, today's religion is more about identity alone, religion becomes parts of certain groups.
fatally, there is a lot of violence that occurs in the name of religion. however, related to Op's question. the answer lies in yourself, for me, something sacred is personal possession.

First religion that all of us should follow is HUMANITY,  that is above all humans and religion.  That's true and sad reality of today's world that religion is limited to some groups and sects and those are causing intolerance among mankind.
Religion is the thing that first of all teaches us moral values, honesty, respect  and love of mankind. Religion makes us flexible  and soft ,the extremism that we come across in today's world in name of religion is wrong and fake.

The most important thing in religion is worship of God... because without Him, nothing would exist... not even people.

The second important thing in religion is humanity... because God valued people so highly that He sent His Son, Jesus God, to suffer and die for all people so that believers in Him can be saved.

Angels don't even count, because they fit two categories:
1. They are judged good by being on God's side and helping people (they will be judged by people in the resurrection);
2. They are judged bad, by being against God and people, and will be cast into the Lake of Fire at the Resurrection.

All the living morals that people are taught by religion, follow these two things:
1. Love for God;
2. Love for other people.

Religion is for the matured mind. Matured mind in the sense that the know when to cut down certain beliefs that might hurt others and also have respect for other peoples religion. For me if a person isn't matured enough to deal with conflict and disagreement then they have no business with religion because many will talk ill about what you believe in and how it is been handled decides their level of religious maturity.

Now people misinterpret religion and its cause and reason for existence. Yes religion is important just to teach humanity to mankind and to tell them that they will be accountable for their good and bad deeds so that they should behave accordingly.  Religion is to teach moral values to people and to inculcate in them these values.

It's your faith and sincerity or who you believe and how you want to spend your life, at what grounds you want to live and set your standards and life rules is your religion .
Religion is your instinct, your conscience, your gut feeling that stops you from doing something wrong and keeps you on right path . Your religion Is humanity and love for mankind.   You'll be questionable for how to treated other fellow humans   and that shows who you are.

Let's admit it as it has always been, we all need religion to help us direct our way of life on the right and expected path such that we don't see our fellow human being as a living beast or enemy to devour, religion is a kind of lifestyle that goes with the pattern of good and healthy living, peace, justice, love and believes, we need religion but we must not be too religious a d forget other necessary things left undone about life.

Let's admit it as it has always been. We don't only need religion. Rather, we can't help having religion in one form or another.

When you look at all the 'gods' of the ancient nations of the past thousands of years, you will see that those people had all kinds of religions.

The difference with us is, our religions are simply a little more practical than ancient mythology. For example, many of us have made money into a religion for ourselves. Others have made worrying into a religion... often which produces suicide in them.

There are religions all over the place, for all kinds of circumstances... even the religion of believing that there isn't any religion.

Religion is necessary for humans for sure. I guess I can explain this in two reasons. First, from the physical level, life is hard for most people. Most of us fight all the time just to make sure the all needs are met. In pursuit of materials, we are exhausted sometimes can really need a hope to lead us to move on. Religion is the perfect embodiment of hope and motive. Most religions are soothing people's feeling and help people endure sufferings. Second, from the spiritual level, religion is what makes people feel great spiritually and to achieve the highest level or see God in heaven is their life-goal. People need these indeed.
