So will future lotteries be hosted on that site or is it just to post the hashes?

Eventually. But of course, it won't have forum software, so this is where I will still post about it. It will probably have a lot of static html pages unless I can figure out something to display real time statistics or what.

I think this is what people would want on the main page, for example:
the current jackpot
the current number of tickets sold
the deadline (and a count down timer)
the hashes of the secrets (if available)
of course, the bitcoin address to play! (maybe this should be the first item.)

Then other pages would contain detailed rules, mechanics, how to buy bulk or early, past games (history) and winners.

Eventually, I'd like it to include something like most other sites have, like recent bets (or recent ticket purchases), so you can actually buy your ticket, then 5 minutes later you can check the site to see if you got in.

Then, together with deadmansswitch and google inactive account, I can cook up my own switch that sends the info in an email to trusted community members, in case I get hit by a bus or something, so the winners can still be determined, and the prize sent appropriately. (This is to prevent people from calling me a dead scammer. They can just call me dead. Period.)

You can actually do all this now from blockchain.info but that's a little cumbersome to use.

Didn't you forget my bonus tickets (that I forgot to mention - sorry!):

Uh, there are only two kinds of bonus tickets now.
1. Early Bird = tickets bought before stated block. which was 238900
2. Volume or Bulk

http://blockchain.info/q/getblockcount right now says 239587 and counting.

You didn't qualify for both. Sorry. You can play again tomorrow in Dabs Lotto Number 4. I'm sure people are going to take advantage of the early bird bonus.

Volume has a minimum bet of 1 BTC. Early Bird has no minimum (maybe 3 is the minimum)

I'm also going to fine tune that, to give a bigger incentive for the earlier birds, like within the next 100 blocks (3 bonus), 200 blocks (4 bonus) and 300 blocks (5 bonus). Maybe I should call them "Worm" tickets.

What I will do, is check block count before I post Game 4, then add about 150 to that number (rounding to a whole 100 block number). Worm tickets.... hehehe... The Early Bird gets the Worm Tickets!

No problem. At least now, you are aware of it, so you can plan appropriately for the next game. hehehe. By tomorrow, I will post a draft of the proposed updated rules for the next game, then the next day (deadline day) is when I determine the winner. Then a few hours after that (or sooner) is a new game. SD is the one that takes the longest so far, averaging 2.5 to 3 hours after UTC midnight before revealing it's previous day's secret.

Sorry, no update for today. I had to bring my son to the pediatrician to check on this suspicious lump on the back of his head. Turns out, it's normal for his age (15 months old) after an infection a week ago. Lymph nodes or some such.

So far, the only possible amendments to the next game are the worm ticket brackets, (100 200 300 blocks).

Anyone violently or vehemently opposed to me adding another percent on the powers of 10 table? It will still start at 100% on up to 1 BTC, so will remain free for the near future. Hopefully, the bets pick up in the next few games so we start seeing jackpots above 1 or 2 BTC.

One more wink left. (I mean, 8~9 hours.) Then the wait for the secrets to be revealed. Then the winner. Then the computation of payments. All results will be posted.

Website? Oh, that one. I'll work on that later. I'll rename the game after this, so from
Dabs Lotto Number 3 it becomes The Low Hash Lotto Number 4 by Dabs. Or just Low Hash Lotto. The lowest hash wins. Sounds more bitcoiny, I think.

Wait for the updated rules for Number 4, but it should be almost the same as 3, except for some minor changes.

Also, for additional provable fairness (not that this needs more) I will publish the hashes of the secrets for the rest of the year. Actually, I made enough for 2 years, considering that I registered the domain for 2 years.

Good night (or good day), I'm going to take a 7 hour nap. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

For those watching, the total pot is now about 0.23 BTC, so you still have about 8 hours left for a chance at winning 83.33% of that.

If there are no complaints, the winner will receive 83.33% of 0.262 BTC = 0.21832. The rest goes to the next jackpot and whatever bitcoin transaction fees are needed, estimated at 0.0002 BTC. I would like other people to verify that the transaction hash, the ticket number, and the secrets indeed hash to the above value. The entire string has no spaces.

Hey,

Very happy to have won but you've been working very hard on this lottery and I'd like to donate my winnings towards the next rounds prize. Hopefully the next pot will be massive Smiley.

I can do that. Let's just pretend I sent you your winnings, then you sent it back, but you "lost" the tickets. Okay. That's done then, so on to Game 4.

Will post in a few minutes. Jackpot starts at 0.262. Will use same address. All tickets before now are not counted, so only new tickets will be included in the next draw.
