yeah....indeed.

i have no experience in how long it takes for a new coin to be listed at the exchanges.
its a good idea for this coin and i am mining it atm at the mainpool "whale.minerpool.net".

for me its interessting how long and which steps have to be taken to get listed at an exchange and for sure that i am getting something for mining this.

At the moment there is no exchange available, so it is still a speculative coin you must believe in to mine it.

This coin is growing rapidly, difficulty has been increasing daily, the hashrate being pumped into orchardcoins and minerpool are looking great, it's growing alright, DEV TEAM DON'T LET US DOWN.

if you are already mining ethereum-like coins, it should be identical.

Or one of the other stable pools shown in the pool list:

why has it not beed added to novaexchange yet? i mean, how long can it take, it's eth based, right?

how many coins are you mining more or less per day with let's say 30mhs?
any other numbers are also fine, then i can do the math.
just to figure out how much i could make with it, if i guess the price would be 1000 or 2000 sats at going live at nova

thanks!

found it, thanks.
network hasrate / personal rate x blocktime = time to find a block
so at current hashrate with one amd rx[whatever] at 30mhs it would be:
332850000 mhs / 30 mhs x 26 sec => 288470000 seconds to find a block
block reward is 10.05 coins (67% of 15 coins)

288470000 seconds equals 80130 hours, equals 3338 days, to find a block of 10.05 coins.
is this accurate???

lol, ok, better indeed.

332850 / 30 x 26 sec => 288470 seconds per block of 10.05 coins.
288470 seconds = 4807 minutes = 80.13 hours.
=> 0.2542 coins per hour, so, 3.01 coins per 24 hours.

30 mhs is 0.30 usd more or less in electricity @ 0.12 usd per kwh, so a price of 0.10 usd per coin would justify mining it at the moment.
0.10 usd => ~0.00002500 btc per coin.

this would be based on current settings. at this moment total hashrate already went down to 206.6ghs so numbers would be different. but good to have the calculation avaiable.

update, 79ghs now. somehow it fluctuates like crazy.
also i'm wondering if the numbers from minerpool.net are correct, if i compare them with the block exporer ( https://explorer.whalecoin.org/ ) i always see a huge difference between the 2.

Reverse calculated is the Network Hashrate = Difficulty / Block Time

Now you have two possible calculations, <Difficulty / block target time> OR <Difficulty / average "real" block time>

At least one of the both should match...
