The wallet has really an issue... I receive stake last time but I haven't seen the staking arrow showing green color, it just always says staking not active, multi-send not active

This is because none of your coins have a minimum stake age of 7 days. As soons as they reach 7 days old staking will turn green and you will get stakes until you run out of "old" coins again.

As soon as you run out of "old" coins you will loose staking status and the process begins again.

I have to say that the minimum 7 day age thing was a pretty bad decision by the devs, it has caused major confusion and problems.

I have to say that the minimum 7 day age thing was a pretty bad decision by the devs, it has caused major confusion and problems.

It's not so much that as it is the lack of communication from devs. The end result has been that the community has been left to pick up the slack in the support department, and given we didn't develop the coin, we've been left trying to help people with our best guesses a lot of the time. Now, we've been able to solve most issues simply by working things through, but without anyone to confirm/deny certain things there has been misinformation and conflicting information spread on a number of issues. The uncertainty surrounding staking times for example is a prime example of this and is something that should've been answered long before people started to lose their minds over it. I have voiced my concerns over this a few times now, but the good news is that these concerns seem to have been taken on board, with a community member (skadoosh1) receiving an email from sudo23 announcing his return from travel inside the last day and also Th82 providing support in this thread.

In the meantime, if you need help please come to the Slack and we will do the best we can to help you. We have been able to solve almost every issue that has been brought up in there so far.

Overall I tend to agree that it has been a very frustrating experience for many of us and I hope the return of sudo23 marks the end of this chapter and the beginning of what we were promised in the beginning with this coin. This coin still shows great promise as you well know.

Cheers

Please see this quote from user Sussoloc46 from Slack regarding coin maturity times for staking:

Quote
I have been investigating a number of 'wallet not staking' problems.

The summary and good news is: most coins should start staking... right about now!

First a correction.

It turns out that coin maturity is indeed measured in 7-days clock time, NOT 5040 blocks as I said before.

Some background info on that: last week, many people reported that their coins were 7 days old, but still not staking. So with the slowly moving blockchain, I assumed that the wallet was looking for (5040) blocks/confirmations instead of one actual week and that in the startup phase, maturing would probably take longer than 1 week. (I tried to get confirmation from the dev on that, but couldn't reach him).

As it turns out, the wallet is definitely looking at a 1 week time period -- in seconds, to be exact, the code says:
Code:
nMinStakeAge = 60*60*24*7; //7 days

Now, you might remember that during startup, the blockchain was stuck for a while between blocks 10124 and 10125. That happened exactly one week ago. This means that all coins that were transferred then, or shortly after that, will start staking about right now!

To check the maturity of your coins, you can still use the Coin Control screen. But it's better to check the 'date' column instead of 'confirmations'. It shows your local time, so just subtract one week. You can also use the transactions page.

For those who still want to know the number of confirmations their coins need: Last week, a lot of blocks were produced: about 6200 instead of the average 5040. That means that at the moment, your coins need about 6200 confirmations to start staking. But again: just look at their transaction date.

Hopefully we will see lots of wallets staking soon! Good profits guys.

In case you wallet is still not staking with 7-day maturity, just let me know. I found some tips in the PIVX community so we should be able to figure it out.

You can see this is indeed the case as the PoS difficulty has increased rapidly in the last few hundred blocks as seen in this graph:

anyone with a working windows mn ?
I would simply know if its possible at all to get it running on Windows or ill simply give up.

Even staking stopped on my End.
+ This "how to" above doesnt do anything here.

there have been multiple people who have figured it out. You should ask for help from the slack before writing it off.

Yeah on Linux maybe.
Fuck this she said he said storys.

Not joining slack and listen to more bs.

The Wallet wasnt syncing up before and now the staking doesnt work.
And ive done a lot of MNs before, this one has some issues, atleast for the windows release.
Fix your shitcoin for the average joe or watch it going down.

I think that it simply takes 7 days every single time to mature again when it has staked cause it recombines.
Imo has nothing to do with setting up a pw or anything.
Just because of frekking untested Parameters.
Proof me wrong.

I got one running on windows. I used the how to from some pages back. If you follow those correctly it is a 10 to 15 minute job. Have no issues at all since then.

So unclear this stuff. Looked on how it is done on PIVX but this is some heavy stuff. (...) Def not trying to be disrespectful but really need some more info. ;-)

COLX Masternode installation guide (summary)

For security, you should create a hot/cold setup with TWO wallets:
   - One wallet for the masternode (24/7, so either a VPS or a server in your home). This will be the masternode. IT WILL CONTAIN NO FUNDS!
   - One wallet on your pc. THIS WILL CONTAIN THE FUNDS. You can use it to start the masternode server and then close this wallet.

First install the masternode wallet.
   - It must use the default port: 51572 (and ususally 51573 for RPC);
   - Write down the IP address, you'll need it later;
   - Open ports, NAT, firewall if you need to;
   - Start it. On linux: colxd --deamon
   - Synchonize the blockchain.
   - Stop it to make adjustments later. On linux: colx-cli stop
   - The masternode wallet will stay empty at all times!

Then install your PC wallet:
   - This is just a regular install of the wallet with a GUI
   - Synchonize the blockchain.
Transfer the funds to your PC wallet:
   - Create a new receiving account (File, Receiving Addresses, New), call it 'Masternode 01' or whatever you like.
   - Transfer exactly 10,000,000 to that account (must be one 10,000,000 payment, not mulitple small amounts).
Check your payment:
   - In the console (Tools Menu, Debug Console), use 'masternode outputs'.
   - For valid 10,000,000 payments, it will give you a transaction_id and a transaction_index (usually 0 or 1).
   - Copy/paste these values to textfile, you will need them later.
Create a unique number for your masternode:
   - In the console, use 'masternode genkey'
   - Save it to the textfile, you will need it later.
Enter your masternode details in your PC wallet:
   - Click Tools, Open Masternode Configuration File (or open masternodes.conf)
   - On one line, enter: some name without spaces like MN01 (space) masternode IP:port (space) generated_key (space) transaction_id (space) transaction_index
   - Save the file and restart (I think)

Configure your masternode wallet: edit ColossusCoinXT.conf:
   - Add masternode=1
   - Add masternodeprivkey={the key you generated}
   - (re)start it. On linux: colx-cli stop / colxd --deamon
   - The debug.log should say that the masternode is waiting to be started (from the PC wallet).

Activate the masternode from your PC wallet:
   - Go to page 'Masternodes'
   - Click 'update status' to see
   - Use any of the start buttons to register the masternode with the network.
   - IF IT COMPLAINS ABOUT TXID: Use the console instead: 'masternode start-alias MN01'

Check your masternode wallet:
   - The debug.log should say 'Enabled!'.
   - It will start Pinging the masternode system to keep its registration alive.

YOU CAN NOW CLOSE THE PC WALLET!
   - If you open it, your masternode payments will appear (after block 10.080).

Good Guide
Thanks a lot!

Yes, COLX is POS now.  As far as I understand, cv2 is also only POS.  IMO, its best to swap to COLX, as cv2 won't be officially supported anymore very soon.

I cant believe COLX is nr. 987 at coinmarketcap. This coin should be way higher, not hanging there between the weird useless coins that have no community and development

Anything happening before the end date of the swap, that can make sure the price doesn't reach 1 sats?

Would be great if we can prevent that..
