However, in defense for the colx community from my previous post, even if I did have beforehand mining knowledge, I still wouldn't have been able to figure it out. I only know how to mine sha256 and scrypt so everything else is foreign to me. I tried to use -a quark or whatever but it shut my miner down instantly. The problem could be that I am comfortable with bfgminer and maybe it is the wrong one, idk but it feels like these things should have been made more clear.

This i my first coin and mi first mining attaempt but i figure it out.

This are my .bat files, i use ccminer and cpu miner:

ccminer:

ccminer-80-x64 -a quark -o stratum+tcp://sopool.us:4033 -u DHiU9HGXXNDcyrKcpSB1PzsRL5KQ23cyDB -p c=Colx  -i 19.4
pause

cpuminer:

cpuminer-gw64-corei7 -a quark -o stratum+tcp://sopool.us:4033 -u DHiU9HGXXNDcyrKcpSB1PzsRL5KQ23cyDB -p c=Colx -t 4
pause

I hope i could help you!

Adding those nodes was not enough. The wallet tried to reorganize 500 blocks, but that didn't fix things.

I fixed my wallet in the end by following these steps:

1) Close the wallet

2) BACKUP (at least wallet.dat)

3) Remove all config/blockchain files EXCEPT wallet.dat and ColossusCoinXT.conf.

4) Then in ColossusCoinXT.conf replace all old addnodes with these 'clean' ones (although I could only connect to the first 2):

addnode=82.211.30.118:51572
addnode=84.200.16.124:51572
addnode=35.203.147.109:51572
addnode=35.199.165.239:51572

5) Start the wallet and synchronize.

At least my missing SOPool mining payments appeared. Thanks.

Anyone building from source should build from this commit https://github.com/ColossusCoinXT/ColossusCoinXT/commit/67083b3855d023e0a29aa233193e1eb8a01f0868

It adds new checkpoints and also makes block propogation better from peer to peer.

Thank You Press for the extremely quick fix!  Sopool is compiling this now and will have the latest version up shortly.  Miners please download the new version and you will be forced to connect to the blockchain SOpool is using.

Ok I will now that someone has actually answered the question many people have been asking...

Where have the devs or team members for this coin gone anyway?

Code dev is helping all the time.  I am sure they are waiting for the block chain to stabilize before starting the swap.

Now, COLX can not trade, prompted the wallet off the line, has been going on for 6 hours, is it an accident or exchange in maintenance?

I think it would be wise to wait a bit and make sure the wallet syncs. It stopped syncing over here, I have added a lot of nodes but it hangs at 2573 blocks. I have deleted the peers.dat etc. but doesn't work (yet)

EDIT: ok so I have renamed my %appdata%\ColossusCoinXT folder so the software creates a new one at startup. Then closed the software and replaced the wallet.dat and colossuscoinxt.conf file from the "old" folder.

Now, COLX can not trade,

novaexchange say:

Trade details

Trades for COLX has been disabled, probably wallet issues. Check coininfo under balances.

is it profitable to mine this coin with CPU? lets say a Xeon server with 4 cores? Or are you better off mining with a single GPU
Nevermind, CPU mining does not seem to be working really well. the hashrate is so low, about 1 COLX per hour haha

Good news, but are we sure that the wallet is actually working as it should? I don't like the "fork" messages. This could happen if someone has thrown a lot of hashing power onto it.  Does anyone have some info about that? I don't want to risk loosing my CV2 coins once I swapped them over.

Happy mining

Mining disabled because of only finding orphaned blocks. Waiting for a fix after that the pool will be enabled.

I have been mining here and do not see any coins on my wallet?

Yes I see this too, either the pool does not payout, or there is a fork and we are on the wrong side of the chain somehow? Interesting
