we are not sure if the value can reach the $10000 but right now its approaching to $5000 and I think it would continue increasing right now. Maybe before this year end it can reach the $6000 value. Just keep holding and lets see what would going to happen next. Enjoy the increase of its price because it gives more profit to everyone who holds now.

In fact the price is given by "supply and demand" and will probably reach 10k and soon 100k before 2020.

I'll eat my words last time. I've never thought that BTC will reach $5,000 by the end of this year. But as of now, it seems that BTC (along with other altcoins) value is non-stop on rising up. If this increase in its value will continue, there's no doubt it will reach the $10,000 point by next year. It will be a great news for most (esp. those who are holding their BTCs in their wallets).

We see the speed of the bitcoins price increases. From 2,700 $ on july now it's almost doubled to $ 5000. You see, just one month ago it was doubled. Watching by the way it is right now, i can really say that it will still continue to rise and would probably reach the 5k mark. But the $10000 mark I don't think it will happen that fast. Although im not saying that this will not happen(because I believe bitcoin can really reach 10k), I just think that it takes time to reach that amount. Because in every price rise theres always a correction waiting to happen. But eventually bitcoin will continue to go higher after that. And repeat the process over and over again.

I think we never know how high will the bitcoin price be going up. A two months before people were saying that Bitcoin can reach 5000$ by the end of this year but this has happened in August or start of September. So we never know if the bitcoin might be close to 9000$ or even 10000$ by this year end. Only time can tell the exact value.

It hasn't hit $5000 today, or at least that's what coinmarketcap is telling me.

Price is nosediving right now, it is currently below $4700 already. It seems like the resistance at $5000 is very strong. I have no idea what is causing this or who is behind this but some people think that btc can't reach $5k and is stopping it from doing so by cashing out.

$10k is out of the equation for this year. I think that it is much more likely we see some more price corrections considering how far we have risen and how big of a bubble we are curretnly in.

Yes looks like there has been a little dump right now, it touched $4580 a few minutes ago but now it is at $4680 each bitcoin, it seems like the bitcoin market is so volatile right now, this kind of trend is very risky if you are a trader.

$10,000 is very possible with the kind of momentum Bitcoin is having. But I would honestly be happy if it ends the year above $5000. All the risk holding it in bearish times and all the frustrations caused by its volatility has paid off.

Long term yes, $10000 is pretty easy to achieve due to the inflationary nature of fiat currencies.

But right now i think that people are way too bullish on bitcoin price which suggests to me that there is a pretty big bubble happening. $10000 would be almost impossible this year in my opinion because that would be a near $200 billion market cap with bitcoin alone.

Corrections like the current one is going to be a recurring trend i think over the next few weeks, first a crazy pump and then a dump to bring it down. I would think that overall trajectory right now is down till the end of the year.

LOL Did you just checked the price? It is currently going down to $4600-$4700 after momentarily touching $5000. Its now the mental barrier that we need to break-$5000. You can't really put the fault for the traders to sell some of their stash once we get to $5000 because the profit is there for taking. I know that Asian markets has recently been buying bitcoin that's why the price has push to this level, but I'm not really sure if there are big entities behind trying to manipulate the price to get to this level this suddenly dumping it. Well its weekends so I'm assuming they are just cashing it out, the usual we see during weekends dumps.

But I still positive that we can get to $5000 and be able to sustain it maybe at the end of the month or 3rd week. Assuming that the minor price correction would stop this week.
