There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

It is...

But no time to mourn, Bitcointalk isn't very important for the success of a project like Waves.
It's all about development and closing deals, and that's what's happening right now.

Nevertheless, we have a big community. And as a member of that community, I think we need a channel like Bitcointalk to keep communicating Smiley

I've updated the OP with some links, well, actually it's the second post.

If you find a service for Waves that should be added, please send me a PM Smiley

The link to the original OP is in the OP.

But why was it closed and by which moderator? How can this happen to an oldschool thread?

Back in march, Sasha probably made a mistake by promoting a Waves related contest in this topic instead of the correct forum section "services".
There is a "zero tolerance" policy for promoting contests and giveaways in the "Announcements (Altcoins)" section so (even if it is 6 months ago) the topic got locked by a moderator.

Here's a link to the last post of the official topic, where the moderator announces to lock it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1387944.msg21392734#msg21392734

Nowhere is stated that a topic about a subject can't be opened if the original one is locked by a moderator, so that's why I opened a new one, with the help of 2 other Waves supporters who reconstructed the OP, sent me links and host the files.

Seems like a timed conspiracy with locking of thread and delisting on cryptopia.  Both things are big mistakes. WAVES is great.

They have, GitHub shows there's a lot of coding going on, the team is growing, Waves NG launch has a set date, a lot to come.

I don't think many people understand the importance of Waves NG yet. It will be a gamechanger and will alow an amount of transactions per second Bitcoin can only dream of.

With ~1000 transactions per second, an ICO with 50,000 participants could be transfered in less than a minute.
Currently, the Ethereum network comes to a halt when you try to do that.

And I don't think ~1000 tx/s is the limit, it should be scalable in the future.

And don't forget the new Waves DEX. It will really create a moonbase for Waves.

Will I be able to transfer alias? To sell it?

So people register every word in the dictionary to sell it?
I don't believe that will happen.
