I got the message of google shutting down the chrome web store and the rest of the message of downloading the new desktop application.
Do i need to update waves now or i could still use the current waves on my computer?
If you have written down the passphrase somewhere, you can just keep on using the old Chrome client. With the passphrase (seed) you will always be able to recover your account in another client on any platform. But maybe look at the new client at https://wavesplatform.com too, it's much better already  |

Plans for more security for the lite client? 2FA or something, password alone is not secure enough imo.
2FA is mainly to make sure others can't access a public service like an exchange when your credentials are stolen / hacked. The Waves Client code is executed locally, so attackers can only login to your wallet if your own computer is hacked / compromised. And what good is 2FA on a compromised computer? On other computers, they will need your seed (pass phrase) to login to your account and if they have that, your coins are lost anyway. So in my opinion, 2FA would only offer a false sense of security. And how could someone recover the 2FA key for you, if you lost it while on a decentralized and locally executed service? If you lost it and you would lose your seed, you could never access your wallet again, even if you remembered the password. Yep, 2FA is not the optimal for DEXes, something like ledger/trezor login would probably be better. If they can integrate it with Ledger/Trezor, that would be great and would be very beneficial for many people. On the other note, my friends are a bit feeling down due to Waves price right now. Marketing strategy for Waves are starting to ramp up (as tweeted by Sasha) but it does not reflect in its price. I just told them that this is due to BTC's crazy price action and we should be recovering very soon (hopefully)  . |

Yep, 2FA is not the optimal for DEXes, something like ledger/trezor login would probably be better.

Wave was hard hitting today. But this will not be for long. Perfect time to buy some more cheap waves. I´m in since the ICO and will not leave this project. I have so much faith and trust in this project.

I've bought some waves a few weeks ago, but i don't know what to think about the project. It seems very promising, but can they deliver?
It's quite the same as ethereum, no?
I will HODL some for a few months and see what happens.. Hope the team can deliver as promised, than we will see a nice pump in value.

I always said it will be. Like many people is talking about waves could this be the ethereum killer so hopefully we start moving up. I'm getting super interested and planning to add more to my waves portfolio. |

I am actually impressed now that I got back here to see what is going on with waves and now I am seeing changes in the way the website is being redesigned. Hopefully if I may suggest we can add some sort of an antique shop of waves tokens to be added here so sellers and buyers of many waves tokens can put their wares there.

I got my BCH airdrop too. To getting BCH, I bought WCT but it's value dropped a little bit Anyway I'm happy with my WCT. So not everybody got an airdrop of this? I just reopened mine and I am not seeing anything there. I do not see any BCH inside my portfolio, I guess the airdrop is only for a few lucky souls only. |

Yeah, that one too. I've got 12.000 coinomat combined sitting there for two years. Got sick, could not swap, but he promised to take care of the asset. I see he still does that, two years after. LOL. I am sorry to say that (I do own waves and assets) but I have never seeing greedier team, especially the main dev. Consider that BCH airdrop for example. How much do they have? In the meantime they try to exclude people who are not aware of the airdrop with that b - h - c nonsense. LOL. Folks used to buy WCT specifically to get those bounties, not to be sitting on the board all day long, searching what they need to do next to get whatever airdrop was promised by Sasha 3 months ago... |
