I would invest in Viacoin, Monero, Dent, ARK and WAVES. As for me all of this coins are undervalued at the moment and they have a great potential. Also monaco seems good, but after CENTRA will release its project, monaco will step aside.

Wow, thanks for participating guys. I understand ETH will be used by most of the ICOs. But how is ETH gonna make money which will make them more valuable? Their platform is free, isn't it? That's what I don't understand at the moment.

To buy ICO coins (built with Ethereum), people buy ETH first, then exchange it to the desired ICO coin, but is Ethereum gaining value from this?

The picture in my mind is like this: Ethereum (Solidity) = programmaing language (like C#, Python, Java). Did you guys ever see a programming language or a company which made that programming language making money? No, because it is free.

If anyone can clarify me on this one, I would appreciate it.

maybe i will make a list of 5 coins which is waves, neo, etc, nxt, rise. i don't know why but i am count in with my feeling and i only hope that is the right investment that i make for now and in 2018.

but i don't want to invest with ico as it will need more research for each of ico and we need to know about their project to prevent from scam project.

1. Embers (MBRS) (best devs out there, awesome community -> sleeping giant) When they release their products they will increase by 100x-200x
2. Neblio  (still cheap)  -> 5$ by end of the year.
2. FlorinCoin   -> 2x-x4
3. BTC
4. ICON (upcoming ICO, korean ethereum)

Hello everyone, my first post here, hopefully I can realize my dreams with help of the community.

I'm planning to do an initial investment of $500 in crypto currencies. $100 for 5 separate crypto currencies. I'm thinking of XRP, Adcoin, maybe Ethereum and 2 more. Any advice related to the choice of coin?

My goal is to find at least one Unicorn which will generate me maybe $30k in the next years. Which coins would you invest most likely in to achieve this goal?

I suggest these 5 cryptocurrencies to invest in 2018: OMG, ARK, Verge, LSK, and INDICOIN.

My personal opinions:
1. Bitcoin (Always, all the time)
2. Waves (upcoming smart contracts)
3. Espers2 (sleeping giant with active devs)
4. Hive (they have useful product and one of the best bull runs for last couple of months)
5. Lisk (my bonus)

I also have a feeling that DeepOnion will be successful.

For me we should pick new markets from ICO projects and have been on big exchanges like Bittrex or Poloniex and my proposals are ADX, MCO, PAY, CVC, PTOY these are all new markets and they have had very good communities in recent months.

Of course it is always smart to invest into Bitcoin. It's a safe investment.
But if you are looking for unicorns, make sure to find the projects, that have a good growth potential. It's crucial that the market where the ICO product will take place, is always growing. Such as catering market. So if you're looking for a "sure thing" investment, check the reOrder project - https://ico.reorder.world.

I think ethereum, monaco, dent, monero, and bitcoin that will triumph in 2018 later Smiley,
hopefully the price can rise to the top

I think Tenx will make the race over Monaco. Just because they are very active, Julian is doing a lot, weekly Q&As on Youtube, etc.

Passion.

I think it is too early to say what can be the best HODL coin for 2018, I mean many things happened this year right? With all the cryptocurrencies experiencing a roller coaster ride of ups and downs. And I think no one even predicted that China's crackdown on ICO's made an impact just a few weeks ago. My current experiment is  DOUBLOONS, simply because the developer of that coin already made a good coin called RAIN.
