There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

- BTC, the leading coin
- ETH, the best coin for smart contract applications
- LTC, the antechamber of BTC with a very solid roadmap of tech upgrades in the pipeline
- VTC, the Asic resistant coin
- MONA, the Japanese altcoin

Forget XRP, you will lose money with it.

MONA coin was just added on Bitflyer, Japanese largest exchange !

Pump to happen soon !

I will watch bitcoin itself to find out if it will be the best financial assets close to the end of 2017. Ripple is recovering from the bearish momentum it sofa since June this year and I do believe it will perform very well in the year 2018. Litecoin is currently undervalued and I do believe it will do well in 2018. Wave and stratis will perform well in 2018.

I'm sure 2018 will be better than 2017, even though the ETH in 2017 goes up over thousands of percent and bitcoin is up about 450% but the upward price trend will continue in 2018. And here 5 crypto currencies to invest in 2018:
1. BTC
2. ETH
3. Waves
4. Litecoin
5. Monaco Card

Hello everyone, my first post here, hopefully I can realize my dreams with help of the community.

I'm planning to do an initial investment of $500 in crypto currencies. $100 for 5 separate crypto currencies. I'm thinking of XRP, Adcoin, maybe Ethereum and 2 more. Any advice related to the choice of coin?

My goal is to find at least one Unicorn which will generate me maybe $30k in the next years. Which coins would you invest most likely in to achieve this goal?

First of all, I wish 2018 will be a much better year for cryptocurrencies. For me, I will surely add ETH and Waves to my 2018 list of flying coins. Aside from them, I am banking on small ones, meaning very new ones that have yet to fulfill what is on their roadmaps. That would include Opus (OPT), Dent, AdEx.

Bitcoin
Ethereum
Monero
Litecoin
Waves.
My five options have the same sequence from the high to low priority. Bitcoin is predicted to touch 10k dollatrs in the next year and it is said that it will have a worth of 7k dollars by the end of 2017. Ethereum and monero are good at giving little profits and both will also rise up to a good level in coming days. Litecoins and waves have far more potential than the remaining altcoins though I won't recommend them.

If your target is to turn $500 into $30000, it will take you quite some patience in a nice project.

dogecoin
mooncoin

Stay with the older coins.
Bitcoin and litecoin are no doubt good crypto currencies and the first one is actually the mother of all digital currencuies.
It is best in all things. It produces profits in very short duration. However, I think ethereum and monero have more potential than any other alternative coin. After these top three coins, waves and ltc have some good potential to grow in future.

For me Litecoin, waves, neo, ethereum, bitcoin are the top 5 coins. I think these coins will rise in 2018. I am holding some of them now for long term. I hope i am not going to be wrong in the future.
