Hey guys I would like to know one thing! How did you know that ICO like Basic attention token are even running an ICO ?
Like what were your sources bcs for me it seems like some ICOs like CIVIC and others are gathering large sums without even having a proper thread (or not having at all) at bitcointalk.
So I don't really get who is the targetet audience for their ICOs? And where are they doing all their advertisment?
Or is it more some closed door stuff?

Anyone has some insight for me?

Greetings!

Sometimes its the users that find ICO's on various ico release site and post information here. I try to check out every ICO release page a couple times a week to make sure I don't miss anything even though I read the Ann's here.

I found a few through several websites; but honestly I've given up on ICO's since most of them require looooong term holding to see any profit.  I might as well purchase them in an exchange after they've demonstrated some execution.  Here are a few useful sites.. although looking at them might stress you out on the potential of a crypto bubble.   Shocked

Civic got lots of attention because their ICO model had some novelties and their top guy had been on TV. We we're a fan of their model:

Mhm but still,

for me it still looks like that some ICOs like Enigma and so on get a lot of investment from somewhere but I simply don't know from where?
It's not like how it has been before with Waves and Lisk that we all invested in them it seems more "state like" investment in this ICOs.
Idk some strange feeling about them?!

Any ideas?

EOS was including on that list due to the recent claim to be the future of the ethereum, but the more project doesn't make sense in its idea or innovation. The only thing that the smart contract should be exist right now caused by the ethereum was better than neo. It just take double digit of the million dollar to develop a project worth over 30 billion capitalization and eos is nothing for ethereum.

Theres a few website that show upcoming ICO's. Also in the ANN section you just have to check daily to see what's coming up. The odds of actually getting a big winner like BAT is slim though. Most coins go to small exchanges and then die shortly after. You really need to examine the team behind the coin.

Check reddit (/r/CryptoCurrency, /r/ethereum, /r/ethtrader, /r/icocrypto etc.), different ICO lists (google: ico list), follow crypto investors on Twitter, check ANN here on bitcointalk ...

yeah sure but someone has to put the money in. There are many amazing ideas out there but someone needs to sell it to the right person. And I highly doubt that only the idea made it. I think the marketing played a major role in it.

some ICO's are doing a closed funding.. from private investors and perhaps a second funding from the public
or they might even open their token for sale after the private pre-sales

I am holding my BAT, this is a good project and besides, they have Brave browser  which they can incorporate their token later on etc. I am optimistic with the devs and confident enough they can deliver.

I know a whale. He attends lots of conferences, meets with promoters, dev team etc. Gets in before any public coin sale with $500k upwards of investment!

bAT has too much hype up front I would be careful with overhyped projects - but yeah I think BAT can be amazing long term - Another big coin long term is NeO it can be Chinese Ethereum.

Anyways, the best sources of information are usually various trading slacks, reddit, bitcointalk and various YouTube channels. Once you are involved in the community you will know about IcOs easily

I tryed to downlod Brave browser. Idea behind BAT is not intresting for me. Very dificult for browser. If people want to surf internet they will use easist ways. Also I amnot willing to pay websites I use offten...

BAT is shit. It will not see mainstream

Only hype because of Firefox creator behind BAT.
But Firefox is simple free browser thats why it atract people.

Brave no ..
