Hi - Newbie here..I would like to put down 1000 USD next week.. What would your advice be to me?

What's kinds of investing will be done? Long term investment or short term investment, if you want search short taking profit your funds are enough to be capital on trading altcoins on the markets but if you will put your funds in digital currency for long term buy bitcoins and hold for couples years will be better for you or you can invest in ICOs projects too.

Well i do advice on you is do it on trading buy those coins that has a potential, try to do little research on it before investing because others are dead coins or scam coins. I do suggest also that try those ICOs now a days because there are lot of promising ICOS now but it really long period of time but if it is successful then i could say that you can double or triple your investment from it

I would suggest Verge:

1. It has high potential like Monero as it is a currency for private payments
2. While most coins dropped a lot in the last couple of days, Verge was not much affected
3. It is still highly undervalued, predictions are at 1000-1500 Satoshis at end of this year
4. It has a strong community, active developers and nice features in the pipeline to come up

I think Bancor is a great buy right now. It's nearly as low in price as it's ever been, and there are several new projects that will use it as their liquidity mechanism, which I don't think is fully factored into the price yet. They are working and partnering with existing local currencies, and predict the emergence of a long tail of millions of complementary currencies. It's something to hold for 5 years.

You'll hear a lot of FUD regarding Bancor, but it's mostly BS. The protocol is already working, the so called "back doors" are temporary, and they plan to be a cross-blockchain protocol, not just Ethereum based. There are incentives to use BNT as reserve. Brilliant team and incredible project.

It is really difficult to say which cryptocurrency is the best to buy but Ethereum and Bitcoin is on the list. Bitcoins popularity is continuously spreading, I heard some news that there are businesses that accept bitcoin as payment. For Bitcoin is widely used it is worth to invest and buy, but it is risky and expensive. While Ethereum is said to be the most important coin to invest because it is affordable and it is easy to access unlike any other currency.

Honestly speaking, no crypto coin is my enemy and none is my relative also. I would recommend going after Bitcoins. Even if someone gets indulged into all altcoins, still won't make as much profit as bitcoins can in the same time span. If someone hesitates to invest, he can earn for free by sign campaigns.

I recommend Bitcoins over all other digital assets. It has potential far greater than any other in every aspect. But if we talk about Chinese ICOs, I think now we better don't even consider them. They all are as good as gone, especially after their banning by the government.

I think now is a good time to buy cheap altcoin after a dump from last night.
Bitcoin is always a top choice - it's kingcoin and its fluctuations also affect altcoins.

It is actually very difficult to say which cryptocurrency is the best for an investment.
There are different strategies that you can use for a long term investment and the first one is to invest on the top 10 cryptocurrencies by Market Cap.
It is wise not to only invest in one cryptocurrency, but to diversify so your winnings can make up for your loses.
A second strategy is to invest in cryptocurrencies that are still under $1 per coin, in the hope that they will gain in value in the future.

The first 20 coins on the list of coinmarketcap are good for investment. Though I personally don't trade all of them but I do understand from market analysis that in the long run these coin will be above $1000. Bitcoin been first on the list is doing very well now and we may need to keep buying as most of these coins are still at the infancy stage. You can also diversify your investment to some of ico project that has good rate.
