The first thing I would advice you is not to put the entire 1000$ into one coin. I'd tell you to better invest in many projects, maybe (minimum) five different projects by investing 200$ in each. In that way you will increase the chances of multiplying your return, which would have been higher if you invested the entire 1000 dollars, but that could go to zero if this one coin or project does not succeed. The best thing would be to put some money in the standard currencies ETH, BTC etc. about half of our funds (500$) and put the rest of the 500$ to ICO's. I can't recommend buying Bitcoin Gold or even Cash at all. Cash is "better" than Gold, but both are weak. Be very careful with how much money you put into those since it's very possible that you could end up losing.
