There is no doubt that Bitcoin is the best coin to invest. But with $1000, you can get much profit if choosing altcoins. And another choice is tokens from ICO. You can try to look at Syscoin or Ark, both are very promising for next year, especially Syscoin because they will have masternode, as for Ark they might be the next Ethereum because they have a lot of features and can connect the blockchains.

Buy bitcoin, that's the safest and most secured coin you can invest right now. Make it a habit also to read and research about the coins you want to invest in, of course people would want to ask opinion on others but at the end of the day it is still you who decides which coin to invest in, right?

Exactly. Not only safest but more potential there is in giving more returns in bitcoin than any other altcoins. And besides though volatile, it’s been proven to be strong and leading. Though you can invest in ICOs too which will not require you to spend much of your money. If not sacammed ICOs also are good place of investments but will take months for you to get the profit.

I think the best crypto to buy now is SHIFT (decentralized web). Very soon SHIFT will release the phantom storage dApp update on testnet, which will make it the first working prototype in this niche ever successfully released. By the way they will also release a new website with a new roadmap and present an extended team. Actually it is only available on Bittrex and Livecoin. But I think there will be soon other big exchanges.

just lookin at the last trend (IOTA) i would bet on Raiblocks, good project, zero fee so same as IOTA, 90M marketcap,  right now is pumping  so i would wait a correction and consolidation, but then definitely a must have!
