Back in my high school, I used to gamble a lot that I was always skipping classes. Gambling is fun if you ask me, especially when you win. I lost much time and my grades fell. So, I needed to stop gambling and us on my studies. I advise you not to lose time gambling and be late for work because later on, your boss or manager will get tired of you coming late to work. I suggest managing your time. For example, why not gamble at weekends or late nights.

Once. Gambling from afternoon until morning, not sleeping and immediately leaving for work. When arrived workplace i am as mechanic can't work properly. Since then, I am always limit the time for gambling and that too i do on weekend.

I am happy for you at least you come to know the bad aspect of gambling. It is more than an addiction that makes you bound until it ruin your life. Gradually your life becoming worse and even worse. So as you have limited your time, why not to quit it? Don’t you think it is not good for your money? It is basically a trap of money, whatever just gamble once, don’t come back.

I didn't went through to that stage since my parents are busy to their business and other appointments they don't have time to ask me. Though my life being as a kid during those old days are really because of different people I met, friends, relatives, strangers that are teaching me to gamble and forget about those important things in my life during those times.

Me, I'll do gambling but I never late because of that entertainment game. If you just could manage your time you can avoid to get often late at your work. It's very unprofessional habit, Gambling should just be done to relieve stress or for  making fun and entertainment but not should get into the way with your responsibilities.

I haven't been addicted or just didn't think of gambling as a way to earn money or I haven't lost money that is only really big enough for me to take care about because I limit myself towards the amount of money that I can lose. If you're talking about just being unprepared, tardy or just plain sleepy in work because of gambling, I haven't experienced that.

I too can play as long as 12 hours a day during my not so busy days. When I was done with my thesis, I enjoy my life, Keep on playing but after the summer, well gotta find a job, and I find one, then forgot about gambling.

In short, if you act like a child, like if you want to play and you let your craving go on, well that would really make you waste your time. Don't forget that it is not just gambling that you have to do your whole life. Your daily living is much important than gambling.

I don't feel surprised that people start to gamble because have too much spare time.
As time goes by your gambling habit could become worse when you have no control over it.
As result you you will do anything for the sake gambling without even you realize it has make things messed up.

Great for you if you already know that school is more than that. School is more than just getting a diploma to get a job. School is important, good for you if now you know that school is more important than gambling, even gambling is nothing compared to school. Schools do not cause addiction, but gambling can.

Yes I did it when I was on college, I played online tournament poker till 3am and it made me woke up too late for an exam. Unluckily I got the chance to do  the exam on other day and another lucky thing was that I won 2nd place on the tournament with a decent prize.

Same here. But I was playing with my friend's place and stayed in there for a long time. I did not notice what time it was. Then my mom called me telling me it was late. I went back home and remembered that I had an exam tomorrow. I ate dinner and then revised for my exam.

It was an exhausting night. If I knew  I had an exam, I would not have played with my friend. I would just spend the day preparing for the exam. Fortunately, I had a good mark.

Never. A man must know his priorities. This is exactly the behaviour that will slowly ruin your life. Late from work,school then loans to try recover your losses, job lost then family separation.. Not time for work and/or school. Actually, I tend to forget doing my hobbies such as Playing basketball, hiking, creating music and etc. due to gambling. When I was still in college, I was so active in such activities up until our last days in school. Upon experiencing a win on my first visit in a casino, I became more thrilled and excited about gambling than in my hobbies. Though I tried to regain my stand over my addiction to Gambling by engaging again to my hobbies, but it was hard since every time I play ball or hike or listen to music, Gambling is always entering in my head.

I think it is, lucky you are not pushed down to addiction and you are able to control yourself after that incidents.  Setting gambling as priority over important matter is really a sign of addiction, you can be hook on something but you will never put it above a more important stuff, that is normal.  What is not normal is getting hooked and making it our priority which in result will give us problem in the future.  I have never made gambling as my 1st priority since I use it just to releive myself of stress from daily work and tasks and I make sure of that.

That's maturity now i think, I'd use to play alot before but not in terms of money, though there are times that playing dota with money at stake is more fun, and just realized thats there still more to earn if Id focus on something since I'd been late from classes before. Though dota is indeed fun and we know that.
