Suddenly I feel like I love SG more and more.

Any local miners willing to chat with a local reporter?
I pitched the idea of doing an article on mining to a local reporter and they are interested- they've done good, positive pieces in the past- and getting the truth about bitcoin out to the public is important for its growth etc..

Let me know if you have a rig and willing to talk about your experiences.

If you have an idea for other articles that should be out there too, let me know!

I've created bitcoin litecoin mining Singapore group on facebook. Please join and spread the local community. Cheesy
It will be easier for Singaporean miners like us to do bulk shipments for mining equipments too.

Since you got a referral in there... Is coinbase of any use for people without American bank accounts?

Not David, but I'll answer since I use Coinbase.

It's probably useless without a US bank account. Can't wire in funds like a real exchange.

You could use it as a wallet I guess, but it's a lousy wallet. Main problem is it sometimes take a while to broadcast outgoing transactions.

Thank you. That was my impression too.

Who's to stop you?

However if BTC-e -4% is your best offer for buying you probably will have a hard time finding people who will sell to you. There's better options available here. Also, do you have a SG bank account?

In Singapore, we can easily sell on local exchanges for between bitstamp to bitstamp + 5% prices, or even more through localbitcoins. Nobody here will sell their BTC to you for btc-e -4%. Give up.

Bids/asks on https://www.itbit.com center pretty much around bitstamp's.

FYB-SG has bids around bitstamp, but asks are around bitstamp+5%.

Btw, welcome!
