We're coinhako.com , the first bitcoin startup from Singapore to get incubated in the valley by Boost VC. We just launched our site and i'd like the Singapore community to try it out and give us some feedbacks.

A coinbase-like service for SG? What are the features? Is it multi-sig?

spot on Newar. it's a wallet service with buy/sell options for now. do try it out and give us feedbacks!
And yes, multi-sig is on our short term roadmap.

I see that coinhako uses xfers for fiat transfers.
Where do you get your liquidity from?
Are there any daily limits?

yes, we do use xfers for fiat transfers.
we are plugged into multiple exchanges to provide the best price. As of now, we are still figuring out ways to cushion FX/wire fees to give customers better pricing.
Limits are capped at $950 per order without daily limits.
Feel free to drop questions and feedbacks regarding our wallet and i'll be glad to answer your queries.

Ben here, I've been into Bitcoin for a while and live in SV. I met the Coinhako guys at Boost and tried out the service. Still new but it works, and got my coins seamlessly!
I'm hoping they'll be able to increase Bitcoin adoption and liquidity of BTC-SGD back there.

I believe they connect to Bitstamp as one of their liquidity providers.

I was on CNA yesterday- thought you might enjoy. usual questions about price/volatility, laundering...

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/tv/tvshows/firstlook/propertyandtech/techknow/bitcoin-s-future-busted/1413704.html

The reporter from FT is actually quite knowledgeable. I've read some of his articles, and watched his interviews etc.. I think he's a fan of the technology, just has difficulty with volatility.

Thanks for the kind words Ben. Ben is definitely one of the most technically sound bitcoin guys in the valley.

Does anyone want to buy 0.21BTC? I can sell it for 20% below preev.com price. We can meet at any MRT station and do a quick transaction.

CNA Perspectives: Virtual Currencies and Taxation
Channel News Asia, Friday Dec 4, 8:00 PM

Bitcoin, the most popular digital currency, is often dubbed the future of currency. The belief that credible currencies have to be issued and regulated by central monetary authorities has always been assumed to be an incontrovertible truth, but this has been brazenly challenged by the evolution of digital currencies.
