Just checked back on the site and found the new x100 wager promotion. Just want to be clear on the rules before I deposit: what does the 0 edge mean? I saw that the dice edge on x2 payout was still 1% (49.5 win chance). Will this adjust to a 50% win chance on x2 if we claim the deposit bonus? And this works for all currencies equally, correct?
It's a 0% edge because with a 1% house edge (the base dice game itself) there is a statistical return of 0.99 for each given bet. Since this promo requires you to wager 100x your deposit, you are expected a return of 0 for the game after wagering that amount but are also given your deposit back. Thus the two cancel out and you have a return of 1.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Also an investor in BK

Big fan of stopping scammers stealing money by abusing and cheating.  Surprised others don't think that way, but to each his own.  Fiat casino's go much further to stop cheaters (i.e. http://www.huffingtonpost.com.au/2016/12/19/phil-ivey-ordered-to-pay-back-14-million-for-cheating_a_21631160/).

If investors in BK want out - i'm happy to buy their tokens at a small discount.  I'm in the discord with the same name.

Phil Ivey did not cheat. He made an advantage play that was unfarily penalized (in some places).

The casinos happily accomdated his request to use a certain deck and it's up to them to protect the integrity of the games. If they didn't want him to play with a certain deck (the deck was not tampered with, and was provided by the casinos), they could just have denied him the play.

I think Monero (XMR) is very interesting.

now multiply this with households of 10 people.

That's the problem right there. Are two people allowed to play if they're in the same household or not? It still hasn't been made clear. Can a husband and wife both claim the bonus? Only if they play on different computers? Only if they're separated and live in separate places? When there's a risk that some unwritten rule can be deemed to have been broken and funds confiscated by the house it's not worth the risk of trying.

Dude, he don't have to write everything into 100 very specific terms to make it obvous.

It's 0% edge, OK? Let that be an end to it. He's not going to answer any more questions. If you can't guess what his vague utterances are meant to mean that's your own fault.

Is the deposit bonus still available at 100x play-through? Have the terms been made clear yet or not? Is it OK to claim the 100x bonus if I already claimed the 30x one? Is it OK if refer a friend? Does the friend have to use his own IP address and computer? I don't want to risk him having his deposit stolen if he breaks an invisible rule.

Hi Dean,

Any updates on the affiliate program? Will put a BetKing banner up straight away when you do.

Any info on when a potential app will be available for other people to purchase or run like a franchise?

I also think you should pay someone else to deal with all the minor trolls and running of competitions you have with BetKing on this forum.

Cheers,
Tyler

The bonus was 1 per user an you tried to scam for many Bitcoin.

The terms for the bonus were very unclear:

Bonus terms:
[...]
Bonus can only be claimed once
[...]

Is that once per account? Or once per person? Or once per computer? Or once per household? Or once per IP address? Or something else?

You said "bonus can only be claimed once", and despite me asking twice for clarification as to what that was meant to mean you never provided the requested clarification.

I think the most obvious interpretation would be "once per account", since the site wouldn't let me claim twice on the same account, but would let me claim twice on the same computer, from the same household. I don't think it's fair to withhold funds from players who misinterpreted your incredibly vague terms.

It's also very rude of you to call this player a scammer. He wasn't scamming you. He was playing within the stated rules. If you offer stupid exploitable bonuses please don't blame anyone but yourself when people inevitably try to exploit them. Promising a bonus and then refusing to pay it makes you the scammer, not the people trying to claim the bonus.

Absolutely. This is why I'm always wary of +EV promotions that casinos give to the players because a common trend is to see players' accounts being flagged for arbitrary reasons ("abusing the promotion"). Hey, I've got a great idea... don't offer a promotion and you won't get abused!

I didn't reply to you because I had ended the promo anyway so the info didn't matter.

I deliberately did a +ev promo for relaunch to give a little bonus to legist players and old fans of the site.
People who played within the rules liked and appreciated it, got their bonus and withdrew, no problem.

It was clear that I said the promo can only be claimed once.
I don't have to write everything into 100 very specific terms to make it obvous what that meant or to protect myself.

He was a scammer. He took 4 Bitcoin during the promo and I let him withdraw it.

THEN I changed the backend to limit it better and he still looked for ways to exploit that for another 4 Bitcoin.
That is obviously then clear cheating or playing not as intended.
He withdrew most of this. I confiscated around 1.4 Bitcoin, so less than 8 and 0.1 deposis don't cover the 8.

I didn't come back after 8 months to argue with you or anyone in this forum or to have people steal from me.
Lesson learned and it won't happen again.
But they won't get ther withdrawals and that is the final decision. Coreect decision too. I won't make any other posts about it.

I have a small investment in your ICO, but now I'm seriously considering just to dump it.

Why?

1. You are changing terms in a minutes
2. You are talking about BetKing - like a real king "I had ended", I I I I
3. You are confiscating money??

Should't we /the investors/ to have the last word about the site development and path?!

1) Never happened.
2) The people in this forum know that I, Dean, run this account, I am the owner of BetKing and was having a direct conversation so it would be weird to write "we" or anything else. This is how I speak.
3) I am stopping someone stealing MORE money from me, big difference.

"Should't we /the investors/ to have the last word about the site development and path?!"
No. Token holders have no share in the company or voting rights.
Oppinions and recommendations are however always welcome.

If you are really a token holder it seems weird that you would give trolls ammo in this forum with your comment even though everyone else who posted has shown support for my decision.

Yes, I'm a token holder. A small one, but still.
This is not trolling. I love to watch what my money are doing.
About changing terms I meant bounty program (did you pay it out?), 30-100x wagering on bonus and so on.

Good luck on your project.  As you sees your self as the real King and there is no 'we' with investors, ok, I will move to another project.

One thing remains unclear to me: are the (dice) bets provably fair?

As you can see, betking has a very low rating in my Bitcoin rating thread. I simply cannot give you guys a higher rating, since I can't find any feature to see if the bets are fair. That's simply undoable these days. All other dice websites have such a page on their website.

Please let me know if that page does excist (however hard to find), or when the page is added to your site.

My view is that while playing games one's ethics should never be put to question. A game should be of sound structure as soon as it is available to be played. This +EV game (promotion) that was offered to the players was NOT of sound structure and was able to be exploited, so exploited it should be and the person offering it should face the consequences of his poor judgement.

I'm not opposed to a loss-leader strategy (get people in the door by offering something that is temporarily -EV for you) but if you let yourself get taken advantage of while doing so, that's your own fucking fault.

You do know that I even gave a player who was scammed on BitStars a full refund when they had their money taken right? There's a thread on this forum about it. Someone can find it.
Also if you actually read the details of what happened here you will see it's a totally different matter.

Ah, thanks for that! Makes perfect sense now, who says there's nothing new to learn every day, eh? Still a better edge than most deposit bonuses out there, I would say, although in a statistical sense the deposit bonus will give you a larger total wager. Not helpful for returns but certainly a boost for leveling requirements if there were a wager-based loyalty system.

Nice update, I really like the addition of the stats page!

Have you considered expanding the available 2FA options?
A few sites (e.g. Facebook or Gmail) offer the ability to secure your account using a device like
Yubikey, which is superior to smartphone-based 2FA in my opinion.

I have no idea how hard it is to integrate this, but I think it would really
enhance the security of your user accounts (provided users actually
use 2FA).
