It's been a long time, and I do not see activity, I think this coin is dead
New wallet with better and more slick design easier to use + a miner intergated in the wallet. New Difficulty Algorithm to prevent nicehash atacks. New Logo for better presentation of the coin. Exchange coming soon No activity dead coin ? Only thing dead here is ur brain Or u just a bot one of those two. Pardon me for my kinda mean approach.

You have been waiting. Exactly while otheres took the project in their hands so that WE as a community can make this work. Steve has been working his ass of on this new wallet. And after investing all this time and effort gets responds like - (how much longer?? why is it taking so long.... dead coin...) How would you feel if you worked on something so hard, and after giving a sneek of the almost finished product. Just to let everybody know that their patience will be rewarded at the end of the day. And insted of them supporting you they start putting iven more pressure on you... Put ur self in people shoes beffor you make a comment regarding their work!

Well, you comment have some logic. But IRD is a community driven coin and community, which participating in this coin (even by mining, or posting posts here to up the topic) can ask whatever they want obeying the the rules of this forum. Original dev left this project, so other guys wanted to take this coin in their hands with good intentions of course. But no one forced steve or others to spend their time on this project. So, again, your words is true, but others can speak here always asking their questions, because they made an effort in this project too, o just courious about the future of IRIDIUM. And its up to anyone to donate or not to go on exchange. There are free exchanges in the net, so we IRD can try there for a first time. Maybe it will attract some activity and it will help to go to paid exchange. And people dot blame about bad logo, bad wallet, bad devs. They just blaming that there are no exchange, but they have spent their time to mine.

So If you want to donate, it's time !
So I guess this is now the official IRD donation address for the devs. I'll power up my IRD VM later today and see if the original dev's "Frankenstein" Windows Qt wallet actually works. It certainly works for receiving mining rewards but I've never tried the send function. Anyone ever used it for sending coins and if yes, which mixin? BTW, great new design of logos and wallet. Very well done, folks.

If devs want donations, they should make an official announcement on that - what, how much, when, why. You cant just throw a wallet address in the middle of the thread an expect stufff to happen. You got to sell the idea... Just a little constructive criticism, not to offend anybody.

I think the devs already said multiple times over the last few pages of this thread that first the coin needs to reach a certain technical milestone and only then they will apply for listing on exchanges. Why would anyone hurry to get this coin onto some shitty ultra low liquidity exchange, where literally nobody will place buy orders? This would contribute nothing to the coin and it will contribute pretty much nothing to the pockets of those who desperately want to dump their stash. If anyone wants to sell, just make sell offers here. Or create a new thread for IRD OTC trading to not clog this one and post the link here.

There are exchnges that allow listing for that coin coins. So we can donate in IRD fot next payment them as a price for listing on exchange.

I am not sure but it is possible that Iridium has a variable max block size limit. Blocks are typically pretty small currently. When you want to send a large tx from many inputs it could end up being too large (larger than X times the average block size in the past Y blocks) and remain stuck in the mempool. Could be a problem for people who have mined everything into one address. Just a guess. Devs should know better.

I will draw experience on this issue, but I think I am allowed to send that limit, so it's probably not a problem.

I know I was currently able to send 500 IRD one time and stuck at 198 just after. but I receive both... later.

It certainly works for receiving mining rewards but I've never tried the send function. Anyone ever used it for sending coins and if yes, which mixin? BTW, great new design of logos and wallet. Very well done, folks. It's my personal first address : I use it for testing transactions :-) Please, don't extract it of the context : I wrote this answer to the guy who wants to know what his coins will happen after the hard fork, so I suggest him to give me his "olds" coin. When I wrote "So If you want to donate, it's time !" (at the very end of the answer) it's for entering exchange and address are on the first post. The "old" wallet is available for windows, linux and macOs here : https://github.com/iridiumdev/iridium-gui/releases/tag/v2.0.2 so no need to start a vm. just take the wallet file. For the mixin, don't expect something above 5. I even don't know if this is implemented : I didn't wrote/adapt it, I just made the 3 OS versions with seeds update. with the new wallet (on macOS, I test a transaction with a mixin of 10 and... ok, so I a code the default mixin at 5 for privacy starting. At last : I am very close for the new wallet. Just stuck at the windows version, grrrrrr.... one lib don't want to link while there is no problem on linux and MacOS. If there his a CMake Guru there, just pm me. I know I'm close...

May be ird.uvac.fr is working but don't paid! On my account there Pending Balance: 960.17173620 IRD. With Minimum Payment Threshold: 10.000 IRD - look strange. I leave from this pool.
