So you tested the new DAA HF daemon on main net and it hard forked unintentionally?

I built the linux daemon from github only to see how it works. Please take your time with the DAA hardfork. Since nicehash is dead now there is now less urgency and things can be worked on with less stress, to get it done properly.

Regarding the zawy DAA, have you noticed that Masari will HF again in a couple of days? I don't know exactly why, because the zawy DAA introduced in v3 works perfect. Supposedly for some additional fine tuning of the DAA.

Which zawy DAA version is going into Iridium? Same as Masari v3, v4 or a different one?

not testing, I just forgot to put checkpoints...

I made a branch called prepare_HF on the main souce, if you want to see inside code.

I have 12,408.32187524 IRD.
How much is 1 IRD? (BTC)

Pro tip: Hodl it. IRD will be at parity with the USD in no time. Thank me later.

What makes you think that? There are other cryptnight coins released these months with way more features and there are stuck to 40-400 satoshi ...

Wake up. As I see this coin has nothing to offer except beeing another cryptnight. or, if I don't understand and I am wrong... what makes this coin different than the others ?

Nah, I prefer to sleep, after all it's deep winter and the den is cuddly warm thanks to all the GPUs. But glad you found this thread today and came to enlighten me with your wisdom.

We can say, that there is some rebrand of IRD is coming.
Some cryptos making a new thread after rebranding. So maybe we need to make a new thread to get some attention to IRD, beacuse new thread with new name of the topic and 0 posts will attract new miners. 100%

so do we'll have a new name? Iridium is already a very good name

No, I did not suggest a new name. The name IRIDIUM is rock!

who are actually the devs?

Community.

I offered one resource for one pool. Also, a node is running which runs 24/7 on Ubuntu, Location France, OVH.

Exactly. This is not an ICO scam where people ask for tens of millions of USD and where one has a legitimate reason to ask who is it that wants all that money.

This is a fairly launched coin with no premine and no ICO garbage. Anyone asking for the real life IDs of the devs should not even be here in the first place since Satoshi's ID isn't known either.

A couple of month ago I saw this post in some thread:

Quote
This ico is for mining using processor only? How would you make  a sale on the coins if you not event opening an ICO?
Will this work fine to spread the coins to the world just by making this coins available only for mining?

Stupid Satoshi, he got it all wrong. Should have pre-mined 21M BTC and made an ICO, happily selling the coins now to all the ICO indoctrinated fools because that's apparently the only way to spread this new magic Internet money.

actually i'm mining and i'm happy with that but i saw user irddeveloper that disappear and now stevebrush looks like the leader guy, i was asking just this.
no one still answered my question about the purpose, why this coin will be better? if the community drives the purpose of the coin what's the community request now?
one thing that i like are the anonymous transactions and the implemention in tor something else?

Ok I see nothing but fud atm. This coin is going to offer untracable transactions
[NO ICO]
[NO PRE-MINE].
Community Driven which means ideas of the community will be inplemented into the coin core design.
Whats the purprose of the coin ?
To be accepted as pyment method around the world. Which will offer its users anonymity & security + low trans fees.
Low coin supply of 21m when othere CryptoNight coins are 200m+
After old dev ran.
Steve and Windowz got their hands on the code of the coin.
And instead of abonding the project just like the old dev did.
They took it in their own hands to make this work.
And from what Ive seen for the last 2-3 mouths is progress slow but sure progress.

New difficulty algo in order to fix NiceHash atacks.
New Wallet with a miner inpemented in it.
New Logo Design.
Nodes being set up.
Coin starting to get traded under the tabel.
+
The upcoming listing of the coin.

I litterly dont see what you cannot understand about the coin.
You say whats the idea behind it?
I ask whats ur idea about it?
What would you like IRD to be used for?
For an instance Im currently preparing trading servers in TF2 and CSGO that will be accepting IRD as a payment method once we get to a stable price.
Thats the idea of the coin.
You use it for what ever you want to use it.
The same way I said to my self "Ohh I could use it into ingame item trading - good way to decentralize + a healthier economy for the community."
You could think to ur self "Ohh I could use this a payment method for Shoe Shop"
Or what ever business your part of or having plans on starting up.

That's an answer that i like.
One thing that i'm little disappointed is to reach 18M in 1 year. Don't you think is too fast? we need time to attract more miners to have an efficient and fairer distribution of the coins.
Off course when will be listed in exchanges and in coinmarket cap probably we would see a good boost.

The embedded miner is not very optimised yet : it use the implemented code of the node and this code is old... the embedded minier is here for "novice" people first. I plan to implement another one in future release (CPU first and maybe GPU)

meanwhile, use an external, I personally use xmd-stack-cpu for cpu mining.

The purpose now is to wait for the hard fork and see if everything goes well.
