looks like nothing but a copy of monero , i dont understand how and why this coin was worth a dollar few weeks back  Lips sealed now theres a tough competition between the anonymous payment coins with many coins having new innovations ,simple copy coins wont succeed

So why Litecoin now is worth more (far more) than $1?
Also, you clearly didn't read Masari roadmap. Take a look at it in the official page, and check some new things they pretend to implement that will truly differentiate it from Monero (and can also even serve as an practical example for future Monero implementations).

James, Masari has been one of the most underrated projects all year. It actually mooned to almost 2 dollars because fomo kicked in due to Masari being listed on Coinmarketcap.com so a drop in price was the inevitable. Masari is trading right now at 6-6.5k sats which is still almost 500 percent up since January and seems to have found a heavy support at this price. As far as being just another Monero copy one of Masari's goals is to contribute back upstream which it already has and with the new POW CN-fast Masari is already taking steps in distinguishing itself from the competion. If you go back and spend some time  reading this announcement thread I think you might see the potential that Masari has to become a top tier Crypto currency with a head developer that is more than capable to take us there. Your right too that competition is more tough than ever now but make no mistake Masari is still in the race. Hope to see you around Taco B.

You can say pretty much the same about every coin on the market.  I would compare our project in accordance with Monero to Linuks; one system but in many different variations. So if you prefer Monero and its features, go there. I like Masari and others may like Sumokoin for example. One Coin, different features! You get it?

Every monero variants perform better than monero now. Just like monero better than its predecessor bytecoin. Things will change.  Wink

You are too degrading monero with a data that you do not yet fully understand, it even sounds like a useless joke. Monero will never be replaced.

Despite the fact of me being a supporter of Masari, I totally agree with you. Many others are technically superior to Bitcoin (I would use Nano as example, which isn't even a fork of it), but no one was able to replace it after all these years (at least not until now, and possibly not ever). I think it will be the same with XMR, which is still underrated by the "big folk".

I emailed Crex24, they told me that they would be listing on the 23rd (if all goes well).

The source from which existing things derive their existence is also that to which they return at their destruction.

Any news about Trade Satoshi?

We didn't pay for a listing on TS so it's whenever they decide to add it.

First post on here....

I am interested in investing fiat into masari, and  everything I read is positive, though I can't understand why it doesn't increase in satoshi value. My main motivator is the development team, and the clear communication with them on discord.

Maybe it is just the marketing that is lacking

I started buying and mining because of the active communication from the devs. I would expect as more people find out about this hidden gem, it will be more popular

Looks like Monero has the most volume on crex24. Masari will be a nice addition to that exchange.

When will the research for the new things promised in the roadmap start (blocktree and uncle mining)?

The conceptual design of uncle mining is already in place.  Now that the fork to CN-Fast is complete, development efforts are going to be channeled towards rolling out uncle mining (slated for Q3 2018).

Blocktree is the most intricate part of the road map and it will be the lion's share of development focus after uncle mining.  It has a tentative tag for Q1 but I am fairly confident the paper will be in place sometime in January.  It could come sooner also, but I would stick to early Q1 for the whitepaper.

There has been a lot of malicious activity in the CN space the past couple months, with a variety of attacks hitting small net hash coins.  Now that CN-Fast is live it removes many of the attack vectors that previously existed on CNv7.  This frees up development time, and we're all very excited to get started on the innovative goals of Masari.
