when gui wallet? will the gui wallet be available before the fork?

The GUI should be out before the fork! Keep looking here and I will add the links when they are out:

https://www.reddit.com/r/masari/comments/8epxdt/masari_hard_fork_v5_download_links_instructions/

However, if you want, you can download the v0.2 CLI, delete 'masarid' from your v0.1.4 GUI folder, and move the v0.2 CLI 'masarid' to your v0.1.4 GUI folder. This way, you will be ready for the fork, you just won't have any new features like sub addresses until the v0.2 GUI comes out.

I hope everyone filled their bags. The dump might be over soon. This was clearly a desperate miner dumping like crazy. You could see that coming in the block explorer over the past few hoiurs. Those transactions which have 100-250 inputs are coming from miner addresses. When they send a large amount of coins to an exchange the tx is built from a ton of smaller mining pool payouts. When you see one of those in the block explorer, you can be sure it will hit the exchange 20+ blocks later.

It is of course utterly stupid to sell that way. He lost thousands of USD doing so. But good for everyone else who got cheap coins before the rocket goes up again.

EDIT: Right after I posted this message someone BTFD and price jumped from 11k to 15k sat.

EDIT: Now that the desperate guy dumped his coins cheap, there isn't much for grab up to the ATH. It's only 2.2 BTC worth of coins until ATH at 22k sat.

Just curious..shouldnt this coin be closer to the price of monero classic and monero original? Is the only reason those two are high because they are simply a monero fork and masari is based on monero?

I think it will start climbing to their prices once the fork is complete and there is no longer an ASIC threat. MSR isn't on the same level as those two - I think it is better. There is more innovation.

Same here. Masari should be 1/10 Monero's price. Like bitcoin/litecoin, if not to say, Masari is far better than just a clone. We'll see in the future.

Exactly. There are junk coins and zombie coins that have a much higher price, offer zero innovation, and somehow people keep buying them. MSR is new, trying to add innovative fixes to XMR, and the price is still dirt cheap. Eventually, there will be a hoard of new buyers and the price will run away.

The source from which existing things derive their existence is also that to which they return at their destruction.

Masari will be at $20 within a few months if the current still young crypto bull market keeps going. Today has been a lucky day for all those who want to get into it (or buy back into it), thanks to the angry ASIC miner who dumped (and is still dumping) his coins at a huge profit loss, obviously pissed that he will be forked out in three days from now (clearly not the brightest bulb on the tree). I guess most of the current hashrate is just one or a couple of guys who got a large CN ASIC batch due to the MOQ. Once he runs dry, prepare for the lift off. It's good that he is dumping. This will severely restrict the supply later. Once people learn about Masari and serious demand sets in, booom!

Of course not. What happens in the market on an exchange happens off-chain and once you decide to withdraw your purchased coins to your wallet, the exchange will send you the coins on-chain on the valid chain.
You of course have to run the latest daemon too and be on the valid chain too after the HF. If you withdraw now long before the HF, the HF is totally irrelevant.

Interesting! Can you ELI5 to me how do you understand this from the block explorer? A transaction with 100-250 inputs how many msr contains?

You don't see the amount. What you see is the number of inputs. And that's all I need to know to draw the conclusion. At this stage where MSR is not used by any merchant, an address with so many inputs is very likely a miner's address.
Yes, it could also be the address of an exchange sending out withdrawals, but these have usually much less inputs currently.

You see those tx in the block explorer and some time later (20 confirmations for TradeOgre) a ton of liquidity is being added to or removed from the order book. Today it was rather the latter, dumping sans economic reason into all bids down to nearly 10k.

Obviously OTC. But if you don't know the seller personally and the seller therefore doesn't trust you, you will need an escrow which both trust. Too much hassle. Unless you happen to live nearby and meet in person of course. Very unlikely.
Buy on an exchange. If you don't trust the exchange, buy in small amounts and therefore never have a large amount of liquidity on the exchange at any time.

With a little patience you can accumulate interesting amounts on Tradeogre.

Not too soon I'm sure. But tradeorge is doing a great job now. Before I stuck only to soutchexchange but now I see that tradeorge has 10 times more volume.  Of course bigger exchange would be much better , coin would grow significantly but I dont think it is so ease to do. It cost a lot and who is gonna pay for it if there was no ICO or initial premine to cover such a costs? As a matter of fact, We may never see such thing like bigger exchanges..

All of you Monero lovers great news. Masari and Monero paired on a new exchange. Masari also paired with Bitcoin too on the same exchange. This is a new exchange though. Does anyone have any information about it's legitimacy?

how do you treat coins that are involved in the scheme and are proud of the exchange without checking what they are going for?
accordingly, the coin is the same, the loss of 2 thousand $. Success in selling tales and mugs.

Do you notice that it's only you spewing out dumb accusations (and crossposting them in several threads), while everyone else had a brain, went to twitter and saw that TradeOgre was under DDOS attack in the past 24h and was working on implementing CloudFlare.

@Masarians: TradeOgre just came back. Happy trading.
