Going to school is not all about learning subjects, you also build character out of your kids. There they learn failure and how to cope with it. That's one thing you cant teach at home no matter how good the tutor are.
yea, school gives children the opportunity  to evaluate themselves and their level of comprehension  by allowing them compete with other children who  the same teaching period with them.

No matter how good a tutor and his student are, what thing learned cannot officially be recognized without passing through an approved school.
Therefore, we can categorically say that School is basically a place of formal education and Homes are places for informal education.

Children need to learn good moral and right conduct. We can educate them with that at home.

we can teach our child basic knowledge at home.. But schools can give them keen details on every knowledge the should know..
Adding to that, there are now what we call homeschooling fpr children who are unablebto go to school on a regular basis. But the thing for this one is socialization. If a child is licked up in his house all her life, do you think she will be effective in crowds? I dont think so. We can only teach so much in our homes we need to send our sons to school.

educate children at home, this doesn't mean shutting their homes and not letting them out into the streets...and perhaps to protect girls from humiliations that lower her self-esteem at a young age.. choose an environment for children when their psyche is being formed...then they would have been able to enter the life like the stronger and psychologically healthy people

If socialization is a problem in homeschooling, there are many solutions to that ;-)
Yes we can educate our kids at home but I know that we are aware that it is not enough to educate them at home because in our childhood we are learning on how to communicate with our classmates how to become friendly and not grow as an introvert. Because in school we can learn a lot of things, a diversity way of learning which is different at home.

yes we can educate our kids at home but dont you think that when they study in school is the most important? Because in school they can learn a lot of things because when at home they cant get the enough knowledge to educate them.

It is because not all of the parents have the luxury of time to teach their own children. Some work 8 hours or more in a day and when they go home, they have to deal with transportation and traffic. So the only time they have is to rest and have that little bonding time with their family.

The education you give your kids at home are quite different from that of schools. The time spent with your kids at home, cannot be compared with the time teachers spend with your kids and impacting knowledge into them. The school, unlike your home have what is called curriculum.

You can literally download any school's curriculum on the internet and just cover the topics with your kids. Heck, you might even learn something yourself in the process.

Home is not a formal way of educating a person it could be the backbone of education its where they learn the descipline. However formal education must take place on a diffent set up.

My brief 2 cents: How well can you teach them at home? Are you subject specialist in all topics?

Wont they missout on socialisation skills by staying home? Wont they fail to meet people different to themselves?

Why would you want to home school? Are the local schools really that bad?

I understand why some opt for this, but for most people, its the wrong answer

You don't have to be a specialist in all topics. Everything that is taught at school is taught as such a basic level that anybody could learn the whole curriculum (for a given subject) in a single year from scratch. Parents can also learn with their children, there's no need to teach them. It's best if children learn to figure things out by themselves anyways, and all they need is some guidance to make sure that they have broad interests and don't become afraid of taking challenges. School makes people afraid of challenges, which is why homeschooling has every potential to raise a much healthier and happier human being than any school can.

Don't know about You, but in our country children are forced to go to school. This is one of the types of government control over the minors. That is, it would seem - allowed any type of training: online training, private training at home, all what you want, but in the case of training not in school the family will be pursued  by the guardianship, which will monitor every step. Therefore, the "non-standard" training use only in rare cases. In General, I think that without school the child are not adapted to adult life in society. His view of society and adult life will be distorted.

Now home schooling is gaining momentum. I know families where children learn at home. And this has a place to be. But for me, the downside is limited communication. Still, the school environment is much greater. In addition, not all parents have the opportunity to stay at home all the time. Many need to work.
