If we can educate our kids at home why do we need to send them at school?

There is a need to send the children to the schools/colleges as it not only educate them but also helps to develop their personality which helps them to become a successful in the future. We can not teach all the subjects and advanced professional studies at home, it is the responsibility of schools.

I think there are still things that cannot be taught at home. One of which is the socialization of children. Socialization at school is a lot different. They will have and maintain friendship, the sense of belongingness in a group or to certain person can build self confidence and trust to other people. Also, in school there is a sense of competition. Children learn how to compete to other children and to themselves. Camaraderie is also one.

Homeschooling have a lot of difference in real schooling, yes you can educate educate kids same as educating kids in school but the experience so different, going to school is not only for educating kids but to explore the world outside, find they real self, and the socialization in school is the best way to build the personality of our children/kids.

We have to send them in school because they have to learn what the life outside home and have Friends and play have fun with other kids not only now how to read and write.

I think schools are there to teach our child what we cannot teach, we will always have atleast 1 weakness when it comes to academics. A tutor could do the job if that is the case but there are just lots of limitations. When it comes to socialization, ok lets not send them to school, lets just find other group of parents looking for other parents whose wanting their kids to have a social group so that they could do activities where they will learn to cooperate and help others, wait a minute, isn't that called a school?.

Because it is not about learning in academe. Life isn't about learning academics. Young minds should also learn and build their characteristics and attitude to be a better person while growing up. This characteristics of them cannot build just by staying at home.

so the child still needs to go to school, because there are more educated teachers than home , they will learn how to associate with other people. Also inside of school child can develop theit personality because of their sorroundings .

The formal learning should happen in the school. Though the parents are the first teachers of the kids at home but teachers were taught and train to educate the child and get formal knowledge. Besides, parents don't only focus on one thing at home if that is to educate the child , they need to go out and earn a  living.

Aside from being taught at home by parents and almost everything can be learn from internet and stuff. I think its way more better if we send them at schools for them to experience interraction to other people with their same age. For them to learn how to cope and adapt  through everyday challenges. To be competitive and to spend time with other kids and enjoy life.

Yes it is true that we can educate our kids at home but we have to send them to school for formal education and then later on have a degree.

I kind of agree. But most parents are so busy that they send it to school and there is a lesson that may be a bit complicated even now I do not understand because it is not in need in the real world, but the main education is about the morality of the child so that one day he becomes a good person.

The way we educate our children at home is far more than how they are being educated at school. At home , we discipline them, we train them and teach them the things that are necessary for their personal growth. We need to send them to school for them to know how to socialized with others and learn in academic aspects of life

If you really have this opportunity to teach at home, than the only reason of school is a socialization of your kid.

Actually, recently I thought about it that home education has a lot of advantages. You can avoid useless topics that are mandatory in the school curriculum or children can learn everything faster because they do no need to wait other pupils of the class. But the lack of communication with other children is a huge disadvantage. I do not understand how to fill this. Also children have to face all these school problems, get in situations that can teach them etc.
