Hey BitcoinZ community members,

As many of you have noticed there has been an EOF issue regarding the swing wallet for the past 3 weeks. The devs found what the cause of the problem was and it has been patched. The patched swing wallet can be found here: https://github.com/bitcoinz-wallets/bitcoinz-swing-wallet/releases/tag/1.1.5.1-patched If the EOF error is still happening, close the wallet, run the ‘resync’ tool found in the tools folder and restart the wallet.

We will have an “official” release later this week

If you have a connection error when you start the wallet, close the wallet, delete content in your AppData/BitcoinZ folder but DON'T delete the file wallet.dat ! Then restart the wallet exe.

I have deleted every thing except wallet.dat and it worked for me, my wallet is now working and coins are coming in.

Hashrate was 120,000 BTCZ was 90 Satoshi a month ago
Hashrate waws 180,000 and BTCZ was trading at 80 a week ago

Hashrate is now 270,000 BTCZ is still trading at 90 Satoshi.

I have a feeling the increase is difficulty is going to radically impact the price fairly quickly. We should be at 300 Satoshi plus by March. I will start selling about 20% of my holdings at 3000+ Satoshi but nothing before that.

I am using BitcoinZ Wallet 1.1.0_1.2.  I got an error similar to this.  Here's how I fixed it:

1.  Close the Wallet.
2.  Open a Windows Command Prompt in Administrator mode.
3.  Type in at the prompt> netsh winsock reset
4.  Wait for the message stating success - this includes that the computer must be restarted.
5.  Close the command prompt.
6.  Shut down (turn off) the computer.
7.  Turn on the computer.
8.  Open Bitcoin Z Wallet.

This worked for me. 

Something is getting corrupted with the sockets - they are not getting reset or disconnected in the correct sequence.  It has been more than 10 years since I programmed Java opening and closing sockets in the correct sequence.

Thanks for the recent update, Dev. Hope Bitcoin Z will reach 500 Satoshi in the first quarter of 2018.

It can't even hold 95 sat. Never mind the sell wall at 100. With the high supply it has (over 1B coins) this thing is going nowhere as long as it will be traded on very low volume exchanges. Wanna get it to 500 ? Get it listed on Binance. Otherwise, it's all hope and dream.

All can rest well, it's not going to break out anytime soon. Have to stay realist.

The first time I tried to use the new version with the old Bitcoinz folder, it did not work. But then I synced again and the error disappeared.

Goto the folder bitcoinz-wallet\tools and hit reindex.bat

It might restard the syncronization, and then all will work.

Don't mine btcz in pools like suprnova. Btcz Community claims for decentralization and to reach it this coin needs the support from miners, find pools that help giving at least 0.5% to BitcoinZ Community for future growth. Thanks!

Yes but for some people it simply makes more economic sense to join a pool like suprnova. I doubt they will refrain from doing so if that's the best way to earn them some coins.

We have 12 pools on the first page with donations and 21 without donations. If the pool does not sacrifice this does not mean that it is bad for BTCZ. No one prevents you from donating to the community manually. The pool suprnova, no longer 51% hash. As I explained above, they are not to blame for the fact that they are popular, it just means that they work well and have already earned their trust. We all need to thank them for their good work and not be angry with them. Thanks to them, many learned about us and came to the community. But do not forget that a good and strong coin is a decentralized coin. So I call on the miners to help BTCZ in decentralization. In the decentralization of our strength!

Very well said, blaming the pool operators makes absolutely no sense. Everyone of us tries their best to earn money, and pool operators try to provide the best service possible. If they do so we also want them to take responsibility for decentralization and reject new customers? It doesn't work like that.
