There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Its a good representation of the "get rich quick have no clue" internet trash that seems to be common these days. Moderation is not popular around here hence you get a shitload of the bitcoin equivalent of farmvilles.

I agree this sux,
Im voluntarily pulling the pyramid game "advertising", if someone posts i cant stop that though.
The dice game I wont bump anymore either but it is around to stay because its fun for sure.
Maybe dedicate a new section of the forum to games or something mods.

As a partially responsible party, I definitely concur there should be a dedicated area of the forum for games/gambling

I agree, I think it's ok to have pyramids, games, whatever, but in a separate forum (a child of Marketplace maybe...)

Sorry guys, I bumped my Baccarat game before I saw this, I won't do that anymore other than replying to posts. I have already ended my pyramid game and tagged it [closed] I am defiantly in support of a sub-forum for games.

How can something be a scam when the rules are described ? And it works like rules describe it ?

However I'm +1 for the Gaming/gambilng forum.

A place for pyramid games and other lotteries?

+1 for sure.  I totally agree with what you feel about this forum.  I feel that there is a place for all of these pyramid and lottery games though in bitcoin.  Its fun and it gives people entertainment/ways to spend-earn BTC.  However, these should be placed in a subforum so that its manageable for people who aren't interested.  Also, to the OP, it seems as if your question has seen a great response as most of the games have stopped either totally or have stopped being bumped.  Personally I have held off on my lightning rounds until a subforum is made to prevent spammage (if thats a word).  Thanks for bringing it to our attention

It also gives people in the US a way to gamble semi-legally, since it's not an official "currency"

I feel responsible for every single 'double trouble' type thread in here.... I started one back up about a week ago because the guy who did it originally had left.  Every time I look at this subforum I feel like I've created a monster.

I was thinking of a "lounge" type board on the main section. There's already the off-topic forum, but that should be reserved for threads with discussion value, so the lounge would be for things with less substance like various games and threads with pictures of kittens and other things that tend to pop up on all forums on the net.

Edit: Maybe a child board to Off-topic would be better than a whole new board.
