I see a huge gab here when every flixx user will be seeding enough content, advertisers wont be needed anymore. Compare this with the other end, too many "Shit I ran out of Flixx" moments could really lead to a drop in userbase.

Oh, the economy needs to be fueled, that is for sure. I get your point though. Like I said, if you really don't want to watch an ad to support your favorite content creator, you can always buy a bit of Flixx instead. I'll forward your concerns to the team though, as this is a solid point you made.

I really like the fact that the middle man is completely cut off from the watchers and authors. But when you Don't have enough Flixx to watch content you can choose to watch ads. Now this is very concerning as it feels like some mobile application business approach in which in the end at every move you want to do within the application, you have to watch a advertising video.

In the end Flixxo is a platform in where content creators are supported by their audience. Right now, YouTube can't offer such a thing. Sure, they watch advertisements, but the cut YouTube takes is enormous. We have stepped into an age of 'free' entertainment.

YouTube, Twitch, heck you can even get your films for free. What Flixxo is trying to do is combine known practices and try to make it work for both sides. The content creators, and content consumers.

In short, we expect better quality content for cheap. You could buy Flixx, pay a few cents for each video and never see any ads, while having peace of mind that creators are rewarded.

I'm not sure I'm following. The supply is fixed, and if the user base grows by a lot, that will make each coin more valuable, that's right. In that case, the price for content, the payment for seeding etc. would decrease in amount of FLIXX.

the flixxo plataform demands a huge coin supply to keep up with user base, if the coin supply is too big, the coin will eventually cap, because at some point, it stops being worth to get the coin to support content

So if hackers find out my IP, they could hack me? And since flixxo is a crypto economy, they would also have reason to do so and assume i have cryptocurrencies... Or is this scenario unlikely?

We are exploring it. If there are concerns on anonimity is because the nature of the content you are seeding. I thik the most useful case for that is bringing out content from countries with high censorship policies.

Looks like that TRON itself is actually a protocol more than a platform. They do have a partner (one the largest voice content communities in China) that will incorporate their protocol. They seem to be focusing on the Eastern market instead of the West.

The main differences would be the market and the approach of establish the product. For the actual differences you might have to jump a bit more into their whitepaper.

Anyone knows other 'competitors' to flixxo? I like to look at them over the course of the next weeks. Just to find pro and contra and being able to discuss the advantages of flixxo.

White Rabbit works as an extension for browsers and let you know who is the author of any content you watch online and make them a donation. Stream and VideoCoin propose similar stuff, creating a cloud computing/storage system for decoding and streaming videos.

I see, interesting. Only project that was similar to flixxo in terms of content  distribution was bitchute. But without tokens and ads. the other projects use cloud services, but doesnt sound very decentralized, not sure...

Another clarification: the 500 million tokens to be distributed over 10 years... so will be about 50 mil per year?
