We are trying new technologies and we need to learn as we deploy new versions of the platform
So we focus on short content at the beginning because it is easier to distribute, and takes less space and bandwidth
On the other hand, the shorter the video is, the easier to monetize from advertising

But in what way do you support only 3 minute videos? I mean everyone can upload the videos they want. I could make 10 minute or 15 minute videos. |

I think, since everything will be open source. Someone from the community can up with a tool aswell. It's not all dependend on Flixxo themselves.

so if you expect people to just quit youtube where at least make some money and go for flixxo for nothing mate i have surprise for you they will not
ok you can say then "small channels" will come but small channels will come with garbage content or minecraft or gameplay and nothing valuable

About marketing, there are some youtubers that have around 2M views per month, yet dont make more than $2K
We can subsidize their production with a small fund and bring them to our platform
If we bring 20 Youtubers with 100K followers each one, and we catch the attention of 10% of their followers we would have 200K users

First we are building a fund for subsidize content, mean that we are going to pay youtubers to join (being co-producers of their original content for Flixxo) They don't need to leave YouTube, we will encourage them to stay in both networks and from time to time promote Flixxo in YouTube. In our team we have Rodrigo Saiegh from Fav! media and they have been working with Latin and USA YouTubers for the last six years.

Sounds like the content on Flixxo will be unique, but they can make other videos on youtube and mention flixxo. So "special videos" won't be available at Youtube but on flixxo.
As Flixxo is open source, anyone can build such a tool.
