To answer your question, mining is done on POS. There is no definite minimum, but to have the rewards your balance should be at 50,000-100,000 bio and above

What should you expect from crypto currency in 2018?

There are a lot of trends, so we put together the main ones:

1. Growth of trading volume for bitcoin futures. So far the volume of bitcoin futures is not so big, however Nasdaq and Tokyo exchange are planning to start trading bitcoin futures in the first half of 2018.

2. Issue of futures by other crypto currencies.

3. Stricter industry regulations
