It really would be good to know why they feel so, why aren't they commenting here themselves?

@felix the whole point of this project is to prevent server-side mining. This is the primary reason why we don't want a linux command line client. Also you built the thing to submit fake hashes and it just seems like you are determined to work against the project. Not only this but you are encouraging others to use it as well. We will keep introducing fixes and suspending accounts of anyone that that runs any kind of command line client. The only clients available are the platform at https://platform.jsecoin.com and the desktop app at https://jsecoin.com/downloads

Well said. Server side mining, mining farms, multi GPU rigs are so last century. JSECoin is the 21st century green solution to excessive power usage. It’s the perfect solution for even the smallest player with the cheapest computer. A person could even run from a Rasberry PI with a minimal browser. Put an interesting blog on a rRasberry Apache server and enable opt-in mining.
Too easy for everyone.

The main reason i built the miner should be obvious, the current miner sucks in multiple ways, directly and indirectly.

Some are:

- i can't set it to mine at max efficiency: as you know jsecoin doesn't use a real PoW algo, it just uses a fixed diff sha256 hash which is only accounted once per block, sending multiple doesn't help anything, it just wastes cpu cycles trying to imitate something it is not
- it's a gui only app which runs in the browser: i don't want to run my desktop all day just to mine some jse, the electricity cost is way to high for that. Instead i want to use a low power device which might not even have a gui
- lightweight: the mining app comes in at a whopping 270MB downloadsize
- mining on low powered devices results in less jse than it has to be: because low powered device can't do that much hashes with just a little cpu usage the blocktime of 30 seconds might be over before we even found a hash. If e dedicate a full core to finding a single solution (and not multiple) we are good

Furthermore a desktop/pi/whatever running all the time is basically a server, so "server-side" mining doesn't really apply here. What you might refer to is botnet mining or vps mining, where an individual rents or compromises many devices and mines with them. Using a personal device for mining should be fine, regardless of what device it is, imho.
You refer to "fake" hashes, but they aren't fake, they are legitimate sha256 hashes. Just because the server doesn't verify these doesn't make them fake. This was another measure to counter useless wasted cpu cycles.
I'm determined to work against the project? yeah right, lol.
Where did i ever encourage others? I merely saw this thread here and thought i might opensource my miner to share it with the community, this might have been a mistake. It's just sad.

@JSEcoin. Personally, it seems you are changing things as they go, and have been from the beginning, which is expected and understandable, yet it was my understanding as well as other investors that the 20M was the hard cap and I believe you stated that in your video, that the ICO would end in Oct or when you reached 20M. You surprisingly reached that goal with little to no PR... You made $118,000 in less than 2 weeks, and now it just seems that you want moar and aren't taking the investors into consideration. While I plan to hodl, I'd also like to see at least some gain on a portion of my investment. Otherwise, it feels as if it's just another ICO taking our money. So, really the miners running the command line client that you're against, I say more power to them. Maybe they'll at least make a few dollars if the project doesn't die.

Hi alt4win, can you send me a link to that video? I'm pretty sure noone on the team ever said the ICO cap was 20m. If it was someone else outside the team then I apologize and we will contact them to ask for a correction. It is set to end on October 11th. We released this blog post in March 2018 and have stuck with it. https://jsecoin.com/token-economics-proposal/

Lesson learned. Had no idea running this would be against the rules. Can I please get unsuspended now?

This coin is for all the people, poor and rich, powerfull cpu, celerons and merely Raspberry Pi.
I am glad that felix cli was stopped. He worked against all JSE rules facilitating bad guys and hackers or suspending inocents who didn't know.

There is a platform already, no need of others, except official. This is not coinhive and stupid people who want to broke JSE must be stopped.

Since this project was started last year, I tried for about months to mine it in my browser while using it on my daily routine task.. But seems that I only minted 2-3JSE per day, not bad if this coin hitted 1-3usd of price.

Was that recently? From my testing, when the browser is minimized or moved to back of your desktop the hashrate drops a lot

uP until today that is the big issue, the browser must be top on line, if you tried to minimize nor shift to new tab, the miner stopped mining if you want to mine you can never allowed to do some task in your pc things that I hate with this jse mining.. Better to buy! lol!

You can open new window if you want to open other web page. Just leave single tab in a single window for JSE mining and it will be run while you working at other web pages.

It's indeed easy to miss unless you really look for it...
