Let's do a simple calculation. 333MHash/s can make BTC0.12 per 14-day now.
- the difficulty nowadays changes not in 14-days period, but in 12-days { more precisely in 14/(1+0.13) }.

So you can make BTC0.12*(1-0.885^30)/(1-0.885)=BTC1.0168 in one year - no much difference.

I like the new prices but i expect it drop more with the less ROI we are getting after difficulty changes lately.

Basically the rest of us buying at the 1.99 BTC price got royally screwed? What a scam, production price is apparently not NEARLY 2 BTC, probably not even 0.5 lol.

So for US sales, who do we contact to do a 50+ unit order?

asicminer.usb@gmail.com

I don't see this address in the OP or sales thread.

EDIT: I can see it in google cache though. Can somebody else confirm this is still the way to get a payment address?

of course

Avalons, which were break even in production costs: ~$1300 @ 60GH/s
Block Erupter USB @ 2BTC: ~$35000 @ 60GH/s
Block Erupter USB @ 0.89BTC: ~$16000 @ 60 GH/s

It was expensive back then, it is expensive now. It is the buyer's fault if you didn't do basic math.

I would be surprised if, excluding R&D, this costs $10 each to build and ship. Even at that price it still has way too much overhead (BOM) per hashing speed, so it is hard to think one can have a good deal anytime if a USB miner isn't at least hashing @ 5-10GH/s.

its called profit guys. If youre the only kid on the block selling USB ASICS, you can charge whatever the hell people are willing to pay. That was 2BTC originally, now its 1BTC, hopefully soon it will be 0.75BTC

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

Businesses sell products at prices the market will bear to maximize profitability. Production price is meaningless (except it provides a price floor below which selling the product doesn't make sense.) ASICMiner/etc are not non-profit charities.

What is the best powered USB hub to run 5-10 of these.

Newegg's Rosewill RHB-520 will power 5 erupters plus the Pi. It's got 10 ports, but not enough amperage to drive them all.

No longer buying/selling Casascius coins. Beware scammers.

You didn't get royally screwed, you got knowingly screwed. From the day these were offered, the discussion was that the ROI on these at this price was measured in years. For you to have missed the 100+ threads/messages that mentioned that is your fault.

They are delivering now I think, if you can get a hold of Friedcat. I imagine he's a busy man.

Check the OP.. if you live in a certain region, you need to order from a supplier.

Orico A3H10 is a 10-port USB 3.0 hub with a 4 Amp  power brick - there's photos of early USB buyers using those.
