When it will be happen? I just heard about bitcoin gold recently. If the scheme like when bitcoin cash born, I mean fork on November, who is hold bitcoin on their wallet will receive bitcoin gold, this is good chance for buying bitcoin when bitcoin get deep correction.
Good question what will happen to btc Holders? |

They need to check coinsmarketcap, cos BTG (Bitgem) is alive and kicking.
Can't believe such a large organisation would make such a mistake.
that is exactly what i was thinking! Seriously though, we don't need any more Bitcoin forks, this will confuse new comers... |

Bitcoin Gold? What the heck is that? I've never heard of it before. Btw, on marketcoincap, BTG is assigned to Bitgem.
Bitcoin Gold is a fork of bitcoin just like Bitcoin Cash. One of the notable changes is that they have changed algorithm to Equihash which makes it asic resistance and its a memory intensive algorithm. The idea is to bring back GPU mining plus some other changes. don't we already have a coin that does the exact same thing and has segwit activated? bitcore (btx) |

i like the idea of a gpu focused coin. i don't like the addition of the bitcoin name despite there being quite a few now.
they're also talking about combining the launch with an ico. if it's going to be a fork how on earth will that happen? i don't understand where the ico part can be shoehorned in.
i haven't checked the website since it was first mentioned but it was barely literate back then. i hope they've sharpened up their game a little.

If you dont want use offline wallet you can move your bitcoin to wex.nz. they had give all user their bitcoin cash so I think bitcoin gold will be distributed same as bcc |

Originality. They are losing it. But even if they got the names it seems like this fork birth coins dont have the power to make a popular name. It is still bitcoin at the top and there is no way they could just go beyond it. This will just be another reason for bitcoin to go down then come back up after a week that it is all settled down. A whale project for me. |

There is no fork on 1s of october. As I remember, it will occur around 28th of october. There are many articles about this before and you can search them on google. Most of newspaper about bitcoin news have already informed people about this

Im not even going to extract these coins. They can go to hell..... I have my btc in cold storage, and getting the BCH out of them was a pain in the ass, and required creating new addresses etc.

I have heard the saying : Following the leader.
Bitcoin usage as prefix to the tokens looks like totally "copying the leader" (bitcoin in this case).
