Bitfinex, binance, yobit, hitbtc - BTC holders in these exchanges received BTG after the fork was initiated and the trading started in respective exchanges right? Wallets not active for deposit / withdraw.
The holders who had BTC in private wallets will transfer BTG to these exchanges once the wallets are active for trading.
or are these speculative tradings?

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

btcgpu.org is down.

This is the second time that their website is down! At first, they said that they got a DDOS attack... But why is it down now? How hard is it to keep the website up?
I am a web developer, currently taking care of about 50 websites and it never happened in my whole career except one time when I was using a cheap hosting lol. This project is scammy, but still getting a lot of support from everyone. I was checking the BTG when I found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/757jf4/here_is_why_bitcoingold_is_shady_and_a_scam_you/ I can't trust BTG.

The only reason there is any support at all is because people want free coins, they care about nothing but their bottom line. the nice thing is as I see these shills I put them on ignore so I don't have to hear them shilling other shitcoins in the future. Smiley

If Bittrex exchange support user receive Bitcoin Gold, it means Bittrex also accept Bitcoin Gold and will list it on their exchange. There are many exchanges do not guarantee list Bitcoin Cash in past time, but after support user receive Bitcoin Cash, these exchanges also listed this coin (Poloniex, Bittrex).

No it doesn't, stop making shit up, welcome to ignore.

Here is the announcement from Bittrex:

http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/10/24/bittrex-release-statement-bitcoin-gold/

All the Bittrex users will be getting free airdropped Bitcoin gold coins, but the trading facility will not be immediately available in the exchange. But at the same time, BTG futures have already started trading in some of the exchanges such as YoBit.

Quote
Bitfinex is introducing new Chain Split Tokens (CSTs) that will allow traders to trade on the the potential activation and mining of the Bitcoin Gold consensus protocol. We are designating these CSTs as BG1 (Incumbent Bitcoin Blockchain) and BG2 (Bitcoin Gold).

These CSTs will trade against BTC and USD pairs, initially without financing capabilities. Users will be able to create or destroy these new CSTs in any amount using the Token Manager located in the Order Type drop down menu of the sidebar order ticket, or in the menu at the top of the UI. Upon creation by a user, the BTC will be debited from the user’s account, and an equivalent amount of BG1 and BG2 will be credited. Users will also be able to reverse this process at any time, trading in equal numbers of BG1 and BG2 to extract BTC. Please refer to the Bitcoin Gold CST Terms and Conditions for more information.

These CSTs will provide pricing continuity through the Snapshot Event and, in particular, the order books for the BG2 trading pairs will become the order books for the Bitcoin Gold trading pairs. Bitcoin Gold will use “BTG” as its ticker symbol and carry a description of “Bgold” on the platform to avoid any confusion with Bitcoin.

How can btcgpu.org be off-line in the fork day... really?

Any signs of wallets for it yet?

It doesn't take a genius to figure this one out. Wink

What do you mean by BITCOIN GOLD how it is differ from the regular bitcoin and if you're going to invest which would prefer and which has the best rate of return.
I am a newbie please let me know about BITCOIN GOLD if there is any scope or it have a good future in terms of profit.

Right now, Bitcoin Gold, will just become another altcoin, where it will only be pump and dump. But, if and when, Bitcoin Gold, create their infrastracture, their coin application is really material. That's the time, it will become a legit coin such as Bitcoin. Enjoy the new coin.

I understand people who sell it - they gain profit from the air. (because they got the BTG for free..)

About people who buy it.. Probably they are aiming to buy for less and to sell for high.
A risky action, but it is worths it if you dont lose a lot from your funds Wink

Their website seems to be down for the last several hours. Not a great start.
I don't think BTG is likely to survive long as there is no ver/wu cash there to prop it up unlike bcash

There are a lot of mysteries around this coin. I keep avoiding it. People separated to three parts : 1. Who thinks that BTG is scam; 2. Who believes in BTG. 3. Who don't cares and just makes money on it .
Of course I'w be glad to get free BTG on my wallet, but I don't really want to invest in BTG. I think it's too risky for me at this stage of my life..

Yes. Yobit and HitBTC already giving out BTG to users and trading has started a few hours ago. These markets are not real BTG, instead these are futures trading (speculative, as you say). I've dumped my BTG on HitBTC as soon as I received it Cheesy

Exactly, people who hold BTC in their own wallet cannot send/receive BTG yet because the network is not launched yet. Expect some movement in BTG prices (most likely go down though) when people actually be able to make transactions on BTG chain.

Bitcoin Gold? What the heck is that? I've never heard of it before. Btw, on marketcoincap, BTG is assigned to Bitgem.

bitcoingold would be the split coin of the bitcoin fork today. Just like bitcoin cash
another free altcoin if you have available bitcoin balance in your bitcoin wallet

I also sold all BTG as soon as I received because I do not have any information about this altcoin and I am sure the price of BTG will drop very quickly and may become the 2nd BCH and will not attract investor

i see that bitcoingold is very akin to bitcore, they both have 1:1 swap with bitcoin and they are both minable with gpu, but bitcore use a different name and didn't get a good traction, bitcoin gold will be more scammy i think

What if it's just a hoax? Several exchanges are now "trading" something that doesn't even have a wallet, only based on an anonymous promise. If they never release a wallet, the exchanges are the ones who created a fork on their system, which will slowly be forgotten. That would definitely be the joke of the year in crypto!

Bitcore didn't fork anything.

After the split, bitcoin owners stand to receive one bitcoin gold for each bitcoin, assuming their wallets or exchanges support the new creation.
But i think bitcoin gold value is not that much when we compare it to bitcoin. But bitcoin gold release maybe have a little dumb on bitcoin price.

It's tied to the stuff you wipe off your ass with toilet paper.
