I really dont understand why anyone would continue with BTG. Is it just about speculation or is there some sort of benifit that BTG has over BTH and BTC?
i think ppl dont care about the technology, they dont care thats shit. They just want to trade haha, People now going by trend, and as you can see thousand new crypto members join this forum everyday. Many of them never know about bitcoin few days ago so how can they know about it tech? They only care how much money they can earn! But it's true thing here we're always try to make money so let's they do what's they want!

Has anyone had any luck sweeping multisig private keys into Bitcoin Gold Core wallet on windows? After endless rescans and imports, the addresses show up in receiving tab but no BTG in the wallet. The addresses imported show a positive balance on the Bitcoingold.org explorer and the BTG addresses show no sign of moving on the btgexplorer.com site. unfortunately your not going to get your BTG coins like that, I don't think the wallet has been that updated and tweaked for that to work, I maybe wrong.. this is how you get your coins... you need to download https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.htmlUse only it offline on a computer you do not plan to put online, Then put your seed, xpub, what ever you need to find your address under bitcoin, Find the Derivation or anything else you need to find your info, once you have located where you account is in the keygen, Then select the bitcoin gold as the coin in the dropdown box, and the info you need will be under the same spot as your BTC account and path was, you will know if you have done it right and have the right account, because your Public Key will be the same but you will have a new BTG address and a new Private Key, So for all those who say never use or give out your Private Key, have no clue how this all works, and what's going on, and have gotten there BTG coins fram an exchange, or have not gotten there BTG yet, or have no BTC to even clam BTG.. there is no way that no one was not going to put there Private Key in that keygen on that site, you could and it would give you the new address with out your new Private Key, and if you did not, all you could do is look how much you have and how much your losing as the price keeps dropping, I bet there dumping making other rush the get there new Private Key, so they can sell there BTG as they steal there BTC. The price will go back up, once they have everyone BTC, and no one has any BTC left to buy any BTG, its your choice, not know what your doing get your Private Key and sell your BTG before the price drops to far, or just sit and hold your BTG, and wait until you have the knolage on how to get your coins safely, BTG is 100% at falt by not passing down the knolage of how to get your BTG safly, and letting anyone get there priveit key off there keygen built into there site, I tested it and thats all I used and went to there site from marketcap, and the account i use the teat wjat was going on was empyed, this team need to replace all lost funds, they laoud this to happen. Thanks for the guide. Here is a more detailed explanation with picture: https://99bitcoins.com/how-to-claim-bitcoin-gold-btg-guide/One thing I didn't understand from the process, when I was trying to search for my address at the bitcoin gold explorer I couldn't find it. I used this explorer: https://btgexplorer.com/Which seems to be that it is not up to date, but I failed to find any other working bitcoin gold explorer, could someone put some light into it? Thanks. what are you looking for it with, only your Public Key is the same, you cant find your finds on a https://btgexplorer.com with your Public Key

An update for those with Electrum 2FA wallets trying to claim your Bitcoin Gold: This post seems useful: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1989369.msg19853098#msg19853098It seems the process is: (assume you have emptied your real BTC from the wallet) 1) Regenerate your 2FA electrum wallet with the seed, select "disable" 2FA 2) Find your multisig address with BTG in it. It starts with a 3. Right click, details 3) copy-past your Redeem Script here: https://coinb.in/#verify (save page offline for maximum security) 4) (for 2-of-3 methods, as most will be) find the 3 addresses that need at least 2 of them to sign 5) Dig your X1 & X2 xpriv keys from the text file in your regenerated, password-less, disabled 2FA wallet file. It's in plain text. Windows it's in %appdata%/electrum, mac it's in ~/.electrum. Linux is in Go -> Location and type ~/.electrum 6) (This is where we are currently stuck) Make a new standard electrum wallet using the xprv key and find one of the addresses needed to sign your 2FA address. (we did this but do not see any of the 3 addresses listed in the address tab) 7) use 2 of the 3 private keys to sign your multisig address (Investigating how to do this and how to use this to claim the BTG) So if anyone has any luck here, we would love to hear about the process

Bitcoin Gold? What the heck is that? I've never heard of it before. Btw, on marketcoincap, BTG is assigned to Bitgem.
''Bitcoin Gold decentralizes mining by adopting a PoW algorithm, Equihash, which cannot be run faster on the specialty equipment used for Bitcoin mining (ASIC miners.) This gives ordinary users a fair opportunity to mine with ubiquitous GPUs.'' More info here: https://bitcoingold.shop/https://bitcoingold.org/

Really? You do realize Bitcoin Gold just went up to over $800 in the past week right? Do you really think it is going to recover from this huge crash and go up even more at some point? It seems unlikely to me. It was just a pump and dump. BY the way, there is an actual legitimate coin coming out called AngelToken and you should click my signature to learn more about it. It is going to be huge!

I use electrum. When and how can we claim our bitcoin gold?
Which version of Electrum do you use? If you use a standard wallet from version 2.9 or earlier (so your addresses appear as 1xxxxx), then you can use the Coinomi wallet to extract your BTG. First and foremost, move your coins to new addresses under your control and wait for confirmation. You don't want to risk sweeping keys that still have BTC in them. Once that is done, you can open Coinomi and sweep the original private keys (which now have 0 BTC) into the BTG wallet. Very possible it's a pump and dump
It's certainly a cash grab. I do think the developers are incentivized to create value for the BTG network since they pre-mined a lot of coins. Unfortunately, they seem to be pretty incompetent.....
