i sent my BTG to HitBTC. but they did not arrive. and according to http://btgexp.com still no confirmation because no block was found since i sent them.
Exactly, same here, sent, they show up there but do not get confirmed.

i was able to sell my BTG on hitbtc. ledger did a really good job be providing the splitting tool.

btg is totally scam coin, do not try to check or claim your btg if you don't know how, there is priv key stealing wallet going around if you use it your btc and btg and probably other alt coin will be taken by the scammer

Bitcoin Gold is a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain.  Bitcoin Gold miners will begin creating blocks with a new proof-of-work algorithm, and this will cause a bifurcation of the Bitcoin blockchain. The original Bitcoin blockchain will continue on unaltered, but a new branch of the blockchain will split off from the original chain. The new branch is a distinct blockchain with the same transaction history as Bitcoin up until the fork, but then diverges from it. As a result of this process, a new cryptocurrency is born.

Hi, I'm trying to synch BTG in another Windows. I've had copied the blockchain from the bitcoin QT folders, until the month of september, to fasten the synching process.

However, it seems BTG QT is not recognizing it, as it started to synch from zero, and rewrote blk00000, which was 131mb in QT and now have 16mb in BTG blockchain folder.

What to do?

Also, I want to know if BTG is using the same registry data as bitcoin Core, in Windows.

No reason why it would rise.

People only slowly get access to their hardforked BTG. It's pain in the ass, as I wrote took me 2 days. They intentionally designed it like this. It will be slowly bleeding out.

Most exchanges do not accept BTG. So you may be stuck on your own. I'm happy to be out of this shit.

mmm i still don't know how to get my BTG, i'm waiting for an "electrum" wallet.

But, i don't know...in this crazy cripto world, there is really no hope for BTG, even in the remote future?

Yeah, nitemare, I downloaded the official wallet, then the bootstrapped blockcain. Took already a day, then import the private key, but which one. You need to look into your Bitcoin transactions on which address your BTC were and import the corresponding private key into the BTG wallet.

If you managed that far and have BTG locally, the journey starts to find an exchange accepting deposits. None does, only HiBTC so far.

Good luck on your journey Smiley And do it soon, I think tomorrow it will see 2 digit figures.

If you have your private key you can claim it easily. If you held it on excahnges like Bittrex and hitbtc you need to contact with them. Hitbtc already credited BTGs.

Has anyone had success freeing their BTG from a 2FA / multisig address?

We have the raw transaction created, but when we go to sendrawtransaction in Bitcoin Gold Core we get an error:

We can offer a bounty if anyone can broadcast that for us.  Maybe like a mining pool or something.

It was not easy, it was a nitemare. Huge waste of time and resources, but they made it like this intentionally. There is no light wallet, so people have to take the shit if they want to sell. Slow bleeding death as I wrote already.

In your hopinion, this is why there is no "light wallet" already? Electrum haven't realeased a wallet yet, otherwise what they have done for BCH.

You can not blame a 3rd party for not taking part in a scam.

BTG should have done it, they copied the entire Bitcoin code anyway, so why not Electrum, it is open source.

This is a 100% scam operation. Glad to be out of it.

Hello,

Does anybody know which wallets plan to support the Bitcoin Gold (BTG) friendly fork on October 1st? And what, if anything, should be done by the user?

I'm not too interested in bitcoin gold. I prefer to bitcoin cash. I think bitcoin gold is just something new created without having seen its potential. If compared with bitcoin cash certainly very much difference. that's just my opinion
