Honestly admitting the current situaton with BTC buggs me as well. But entire thing was an open market competition from the very beginning. It's not bitcoin's fault that big corps rushed in. It's more problem of people who did not. Speakig about those who were sceptical from very beginning, now realized they could have made money of it but yea, now it's late to enter the game (for huge profits) which drives them angry. I think there is lot of envy as well.

You belive BTG is here for us, late participants? Then why they made fork? (so the big corps holding BTC have now as well huge amounts of BTG) ... is this fair start? It's not. Brand new coin would be fair. But such coin would hardly get our attention ( make profit to devs ) so they choose this way.
(the above paragraph can be applied to all BTC forks)

I'm very sceptical about all these forks as what I see is just marketing strategy to earn more. Simple result of market research:
Lot of people is angry of ASIC mining ... check.
Almost everybody has GPU ... check
Gold is well know word ( will get your attention no matter you want or not ) ... check
Bitcoin is well known word as well  ( will get your attention no matter you want or not )  ... check
OK, let's combine all these, add few things about how your intentions are good, how you are trying to help others ... and brand new way to make money was born.

You think big corps can't obtain huge huge HUGE amounts of GPUs and ruin it as well? Why not to anger another group of people. The gamers. Right?
Lot of my friends curses us for the current situation in GPU market.

And no. I was late into game as well. I have two S9s, some hasrate with hashnest and bixin. Thats all.
Difference is:
1- I can live with the fact I missed the opportunity of huge profits (and I wish very best to all who started with BTC before it came popular ... those were true entusiasts and they deserve the money earned of it)
2 - My main drive was not money making (major part was, but not the main). I just liked the idea (the way satoshi meant it) and wanted to participate in this revolution ... unfortunatelly current situation is what it is. But again forks are not solution.

I feel ya , and no not saying btg is for the late comers or that early adopters shouldn't be rewarded as they have and I'm also not disappointed with the natural progression of large mining corps , everything happens for a reason... and BTG is part of that natural progression,  nothing will stop large gpu farms and they will.. btg might not dominate but it will do well and I just can't wrap my mind around the bashing of it..... mined dozens of bitcoin ?? Is that a lot ? Wtf who talks like that is my question ... as for late comers , you're not late dude you are just on time and I wish the best of luck to you , cheers:)

You should do some research and read this thread because Bitcoin Gold will be the #1 Bitcoin fork after BTC and BCH kill eachother.

For now BTG has done all of the impossible to kill itself  Grin
Devs running here and there like a full lot of headless chickens, tampered website, tampered QT wallet right from beginning (as I demonstrated), tampered GIT repository, scam wallet on their website https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-gold-wallet-scam-nets-3-million-illicit-earnings/

Do you agree about that Wawaji ?

Good luck BTG amateurs...

It will be more interesting to watch BTG price in coming days, as the effect of liquidity over exchange. There are several scenarios where it can take directions...

Bullish on BTG
---------------
1-> As many Bitcoin's are in cold storage, assuming @50% of current circulation  1,67,06,312 BTC i.e 8353156 BTG is the possible liquidity as BTC holders might fear of SCAM while claiming or possible leaving as it is for future in support of BTG's Future. It may not come to markets for decades!! as it sits in cold storage along with BTC.

2-> Adding on top of already 50% off liquidity, even if contrary to above there will be new Investor;s as holders to the extent of off load by BTC holder to fail BTG (But would like to sell only in top of the price  Roll Eyes)of BTG supporting decentralization of mining and cheap transactional fee as ability of BTG.

3-> It we want buy cheap BTG below $200, it is possible, if more and more miners or investors hold onto BTG for atleast a month not selling single BTG anywhere could see price of $450-$500 which would tempt few BTC holders to claim and dump. Prices will go down.. Buy them as much as you want it!! Can be repeated until all BTG comes out of cold storage, so that we have real economic future for BTG, rather giving in the hands os BTC holders ~60% advantage of been forked from BTC.

Not so Bullish on BTG
-------------------------
1-> Mining is currently unprofitable compared to BTC;s price rise percentage. Transaction cost is ultra low, new coins generation is the only hope, (unknown technical issue, what will drive transaction cost up when halving takes place in BTG? who will decide to include or exclude transactions on fee /kB basis?)

2-> Lack of security to coins storage, either Wallets or non-availability of cold storage option like Armory or Electrum kind!! (Need at-most as first!!) No option but to dump on exchange till option available.

3-> Many fork game on after ICO game, will spoil BTG credibility in market as there will not be Unique Selling Proposition!! with other's unless Developer of BTG fulfills quickly one after the other of there Road Map.

4-> If they BTG has to compete with BTC, some one has to do all same as BTC done with respect BlockChain Information (like https://blockchain.info with level of information depth), Blocks, Pool, Transactions and Fee per kB tracer's. They managed with https://btgexp.com

It is mandatory to assess the safety of BTG's own ecosystem before that Wink
And BTG crew still did NOT release any guide on their site to claim BTG and in this conditions BTG can be easily pumped.

Bitcoin Gold:

whats the situation on major exchanges ?
i didn't have BTC long positions on many exchanges but I can tell you guys

1) on BitFinex they did credit AND DEBIT BTG for longs and shorts BTC at fork time

BUT it seems its still IMPOSSIBLE to DEPOSIT or WITHDRAW BTG there
although trading BTG (inherited from the balances at forktime) is still possible

2) BitFlyer announced they would credit BTG to customers who had (positive) BTG balances at forktime
but they still DID NOT credit them
AND BTG trading is still unavailable there

BOTH those exchanges DID credit Bitcoin Cash and allow Bitcoin Cash trading AND deposit/withdrawals immediately after the FORK in August

So it looks like there is something VERY fishy. Maybe those exchanges realize BTG is a scam. No devs, no credible team
an official wallet which seems to be hacked ?? links to scam sites from BTG official site....

They did say BEFORE the fork everything would be in place very soon, but still NO NEWS from those sites although we're well past the fork now

It sucks and I think i will never be able to get the BTG both sites promised me and be able to sell them alas. I'd like to be very wrong and that Santa brings me my BTG

Bitcoin is a good coin and would be better than some Altcoins. And you can get Bitcoin Gold through freewallet.org and can be installed as phone app.

when is it the good time to buy BTG? now?

By no means unless you're on a suicide mission!

Basing on Bittrex
1)RSI is at 33.27
2)MACD is well below zero
3)Whales (owners of great amount of BTC on the market at fork time) have still NOT acted on BTG market

Moreover common people holding some BTC at fork time have still NOT acted on BTG market, as for the major part they are still strieving to claim their BTG safely

Now they're acting to support it Wink

Have to say you nailed me. I was expecting completely different reaction.
BTW for me dozens of BTC is pretty lot, converted to fiat at current price it's hell a lot.
Nevermind, cheers to you too.
