Believe me if bitcoin price was now at $400 i would've bought a bunch now. but the price of bitcoin atm is $3400 so i'm only buying few bits. bitcoin cash is not the original bitcoin! it is to you but not for me.

Just weeks back it was worth 0.15BTC and it's already 0.12, so it's not only losing value in USD, but it's also losing value to BTC!

Funny because BCC price started at .05-.06 BTC. So it's still doubled?

On August 1st (the release date) it was wavering between 0.085 and 0.15 according to coinmarketcap.  When blocks began to be mined, it reached higher.  The lowest it reached was 0.065 but that was after a crash.  

Also, if you read the post you would know I'm talking about after the combined market sell offs. Lower caps lose percentages faster.

They lose percentages as quickly as the market's perception of their value changes.  If people were bullish on Bitcoin Cash, the price would be rising in BTC terms, but currently it's relatively stable.

I wouldn't be surprised if it will turn out that Bitmain Cash is in fact subsidized and controlled by the Chinese government, and they aim to replace Bitcoin with their fake counterfeit shitcoin. Not the first time China steals new technologies.

Bitcoin Cash has the fastest overall adoption of any crypto. BTC merchant adoption has gone down in the past year!!

I don't think there are any objective statistics for how many merchants accept BTC, so there's no way of judging that.  There are no major merchants accepting Bitcoin Cash that I know of.

The market has pretty much decided that bitcoin cash will not replace bitcoin core. Bitcoin cash is merely another altcoin, though very similar to the coin from which it forked. Also, it is my understanding that bitcoin cash has failed to alleviate slow confirmation times for bitcoin users.

You making a choice of taking or investing into bitcoin cash does not mean that bitcoin is dead, for now, anyone can invest in bitcoin cash at anytime he/she wants, but bitcoin is what everybody wants to get, so everyone has their own choices.

Did you actually checked the Bitcoin Cash exchange rates before posting this thread here? I am closely following the exchange rates for the past 2-3 days. The Bitcoin prices are down by around 20% during the last 3 days. The BCH prices on the other hand have dived from $530 to just around $390, which means that the exchange rate is down by close to 30%.

I'm saying after the total market sell off. Money will flow back to Bitcoin Cash, not BTC backlog coin.

I don't think so, although I am not an anti-BCH individual. To tell the truth, BCH surprised me when it was listed in the exchanges for the first time. I was expecting a price of around BTC0.01 to BTC0.05, but it stabilized at BTC0.100 to BTC0.150. But the biggest problem is in gaining acceptance. Only a very few shops and stores are accepting BCH right now. So obviously, the user base is quite small when compared to that of BTC.

It was the constant infighting that allowed BCH to even have any value. ETH is going to have a huge update this month and likely will go really high in price.

The constant infighting with BTC over the last 18+ months has given room for altcoins to grow. What once was a 90%market dominance for BTC is lately a pathetic 45% market share for BTC.

I do fully understand most of those coins aren't really used for buying stuff so I will concede that. But The issue is that dropping from 90% to 45% means those other 45%of people did not put their money into BTC, that is the issue. If they had it would be tens of thousands each right now and climbig.

The hardfork messed it all up, and it looks like hardfork number 2 is coming in soon.

BTC will recover like we have seen many times before. China is not the only country in the world. We will be perfectly fine without them spreading FUD all over again.
From what I could tell Chinese news have been the reason for every major price decline/crash.
For example - previous rumours about BTC ban, ban of leverage crypto trading, curbing BTC flow to prevent wealth transfer outside China etc.

I don't think that's a good news to shift to bitcoin cash looking the bitcoin price fall in a much longer range compared to bitcoin cash which has decreased to a little. In the past bitcoin cash served as an asset for the one who consider bitcoin to be the affordable form of digital currency.

Thank you for the advice but on consideration of the pro's
and con's of both i'll be keeping my BITCOIN
it has such a history and a massive acceptance, it will
take a loooong time for BCH to catch up.
Thats the way I see it!
