Seems quite likely that "wex.nz" here on bitcointalk is a fake user. I asked some critical questions in his self-moderated topic and just had my message deleted.

New trading pair has been added: Monero/USD

Testing now:
https://wex.nz/exchange/xmr_usd

This doesn't make any sense. Didn't you say that the site will close on the 15th and go into bankruptcy? Why would you add a new pair the day you close (change of plans it seems?). Another thing that doesn't add up is that you control the server enough to add new trading pair, but does not control it enough to ban the rouge admin from chat. With withdraws closed, shouldn't adding a new pair be the last thing on your mind right now?

I suspect you are an impersonator.

Finally after 2 years of trying to get back into my account I was able to get my NMC out. Well, about 60% of them. The rest are in NMC tokens.

They unlocked my account and gave me 2 weeks. Then opened up withdrawals. I pulled out all the NMC I had on there.

Wasn't sure whether or not I wanted to take a 25% cut on the final bit of NMC or not. Waiting things out to see what develops.

I'm not fully aware of what's happening and the real status of wex.nz but I'm confused on what's the current status of it. And I have read also a thread of it's closure.

Out of curiosity I did few research and found that thread was a hoax.

Only some coins withdraw is available.  BTC, LTC, DASH, BCH, not allowed.

Prices are crazy on this exchange, once again STAY AWAY from WEX for now...

yes, USDT withdrawal is possible. that's why it's worth 4x what "wex USD" is worth. ZEC and a couple others seem to be working (most of the time) as well, but you'll pay a hefty premium to buy them and exit.

it's looking bad. i've never had this long of a radio silence from an exchange before, with the exception of cryptsy. and we all know how that ended..... Undecided

The only available withdraw method for USD is for a WEX code, currently not accepted at any reputable currency change service.

WEX just made another useless update on twitter. Even if they open for withdraws again I don't think they can recover from the reputational damage. Most users will leave. RIP btc-e.

dang, sorry to hear that. Undecided

lesson learned: always research an exchange and be very weary if things don't appear to be running normally. exit scams and dodgy behavior from exchanges over the years has made me very careful where i deposit money (and how much i risk).

NVC - withdrawal enabled
PPC - withdrawal enabled
NMC- withdrawal enabled

i think that account is a fake. i'm also hearing that people are not receiving their PPC withdrawals. not sure about XMR (newly added).

How many people in this thread are new customers to Wex Vs btc-e customers who had credits there?  I'm intrigued to know how much fresh blood it attracted, if any.

i am new, i was a victim of my own greed when i saw what i thought looked like an arbitrage opportunity for NMC between Cryptopia and WEX.  Thankfully I started small, and soon realized it was one of those "too good to be true things that wasn't true".

I was unable to get my > 50% returns and ended up booking a ~10% loss on the trade, but managed to successfully withdraw my (0.9x) investment in XMR.

So I am was a new customer who used it for 2 trades (NMC -> BTC,  BTC -> XMR).
