I think because Ethereum is a perfect Coin and has a smart ERC20 contract that is very good to use, making it easier for everyone to make a wallet for free. So that all ICO projects utilize the technology created by Ethereum.

There are some ICOs that uses waves. But ethereum’s flexible, extensible blockchain system makes it relatively easy for developers to build and launch their own DApps, DAOs and crypto-assets.

My concern with ETH token ICOs is the added degree of centralization that relying on the ETH infrastructure/governance entails.  Consensus decisions could be made outside of your control that have an impact on the viability of your token.  I'd rather see a ETH fork, honestly, than something built directly on the ETH IX.  At least them you control decision making fully regarding your token.

I do recognize that it's more complicated to do that, though.

And many people like using Ethereum in everything. I think that this coin should be monopolists in this segment of the cryptocurrency market.

if you mean as payment, then i don't know. maybe they want ETH tokens more than others. but there have been cases where they asked for bitcoin too.

if you mean as the platform to develop their crap and call it ICO then it is just because there are so many other ICOs that they can just copy. it is at a point where creating one is very easy. you don't need to do much work and also if you say "we are using ETH platform" it looks better compared to saying you use something else. because nobody cares about the project itself. everyone looks at the cover and judge the book by it

Because they want ethereum because they know the potential of the ether.  There is some ICO who are accepting some altcoins but majority is the ICO who are accepting ethereum but I think bitcoin also have a lot of ICO if they have ethereum payment they will have bitcoin payment too. Indeed, and in ETH you can easily create the wallet. i don’t see much ICO’s that is base with different blockchain aside from ETH and many coins are already succeed with this one. But its sad to see that ETH is falling today that affect most of the ICO with their project, i hope for a fast recovery of the market.

I think that people feel that ETH has great potential for this development. besides, ETH also has a low fee, and also a fairly fast transaction. a lot of things crossed my mind in this matter, but personally, I feel that ETH really does become a suitable coin in this regard.
