I would recommend Exodus.io, its a desktop wallet
with support for a growing number of alt currencies
and of course Bitcoin.

You can also trade among the supported currencies
in Exodus via Shapeshift.

With Exodus you control the private keys and can back
up the wallet, something you cannot do with exchange
or online wallets!

Surprised nobody recommended it but I really like Jaxx wallet. It holds several other crypto currencies, and it also has an integration with shapeshift so you can directly exchange coins within your wallet. But I wouldn't recommend that feauture unless you're in a real hurry cuz shapeshift isn't very cheap. Anyway... Jaxx gives you your private keys of course. You can set mining fees when transferring your money too. And is also pretty secure. You must give it a try. Has several other features.

Recommend electrum, which is easy to use and secure. No need to download the whole blockchain! You can sign the message as well. You just backup the seed and will be safe.

I don't like offline wallets so I'm using Blockchain and Xapo. This e-wallets which are proven over the years and you will never lose access to them. It seems to me that they are more secure than offline wallets to be accessed, you may lose physically or because of a virus.

I recommend electrum since it can do anything for example : sign message, pay to many feature , many type of wallet etc
It's simple and easy to install , trust me when blockchain disable "pay to many" feature, electrum become my main wallet for now but becareful for any phising site since you need to install on your computer

*sorry if this topic is not suitable here, but i need help.

Hi,
I am using coinbase since from the start. But now i want to change my bitcoin wallet. Since coinbase disabled the sign message option for the users,i want to leave them permanent and badly need a secure wallet for my hardly earned bitcoin.

I don't want to download the full blockchain, and don't know which wallet is safe and easy for me.So please help me out.

I have only coinbase wallet, i never used any other wallet.

I'm using coins.ph for storing my bitcoins but like the other's said I'm not always secure and protected at all the time because it don't produce or it does not have private key just like other wallets which makes wallet and of course the amount it holds the more secure for me and the all of us. I've tried to use electrum wallet which is more secure than other wallet that I've been used. All you have to do is keep your wallet seed at private key. Also be careful with its wallet address and private key, you may interchange the two.

Where are you from? Doesn't your country have a national wallet that most of your people use? I am from the Philippines and we have a bitcoin wallet provider used by most of us that provides various options in terms of buying, selling, or converting our bitcoins to fiat. Coinbase wallet's security is enough and I do not understand on why you have issues with it. Be reminded that some wallets are susceptible of scams and coinable has already proven itself to be one of the most reliable wallets out there.

Since you're already using coinbase, I assume that you like having your wallet online. I personally use blockchain.info, you can import your own address and sign messages. I use a custom imported address in blockchain.info and mainly use that one instead of the built in wallet address,

who cares

I recommend you try Coinmi. Its a very light weight wallet, you don't have to download the whole blockchain. Also its secure because the keys are stored on your device not their . They also support60+ cryptocurrencies with a built in exchange!. So far I don't have any problems with conimi except for that its only available for mobile devices.

I recommend GreenAddress as they have the best features and fantastic devs that are active with their CS, not that it's really ever necessary haha. They even have nLocktime!

There are only few bitcoin wallets that i know. First is the blockchain wallet, that's the first wallet that i've known once i heard bitcoin. I think blockchain is secure because me as a user of blockchain bitcoin wallet, i've never encountered an error before so that's why i suggest it. Second is coins.ph wallet. It stores bitcoin and also very easy to use, its the one that i used because its the most used here in our country and iare recommended for us bitcoin users.

If you have good amount of BTC you should invest in a hardware wallet, if its not a huge amount you can use blockchain wallet been using it for a while now without any issues just be sure to do all the security steps to make your wallet secure.

I have an idea that you start trying to secure various coins using blockchain wallets from robbers so that losses are not too big and make us feel more calm.

Dont use any wallet that is on the internet if you are going to store a good amount of money. I use blockchain to store amounts less than 3 btc, and then i have a good part of my bitcoins in my offline wallet, it is the most safest place to store my bitcoins, i have the private key on a paper and it is super safe. And for altcoins, use a led ger nano too, or just store them on myetherwallet.

In my country we use coins.ph because it is the safest wallet that we can store our bitcoin if you're currency is peso. But there is one more wallet I know. It's blockchain wallet. I have an account on that site they says that it's safe to store bitcoin there. But I haven't tried storing bitcoin on that wallet but I could say it's safe because of the feedbacks that I have read.
Ofcoure me to , my wallet is coin.ph here in the philippines becuase this is the popular wallet in our country and so much safe to store your money here , but my friend says coin base or coin ph. Is good.

I am using coins.ph wallet too because it the wallet that we can do transactions in our country. From btc to php..but I think there ia one more that is popular wallet , it is etherium or ETH wallet, it is a safe wallet as well. I Knew some people who said they like to use ETH wallet.

Hey. Personally, I've been using Blokchain.info for more than six months now and I'm not complaining. Very convenient to use and safe with a bunch of ways to protect. So try it, you will not regret it.
