I have been looking to invest into more ICO's but i'm having some trouble to find the ones that do not scam you. So my question is:
How do you guys find your ICO's and how do you know they are a scam ?
Analyze their project and see if it is promising or legit. You can even read their whitepaper if you want to. Do a research on the team behind it to find out if they are really associated with that certain ICO or if they're just using some random photos.

Join some group and analyze together the project, sometimes it's good to decide with people who masters the analyzing of ICO,though the decision will always depends on us.

I do get Most of my information from icocountdown this site published most of the genuine ico project. You can also get professional analysis on each of the projects and make your decision on which one to invest in. You can also get good information about any project from altcoins announcement section on this forum.

I have joined around 20 ico's and have found that most of them trade below their ico buy in price once they hit the exchanges. Some have done very well, e.g. 10x gain but that's after a few months of holding the coin.

yeah agree, analyze the project whether it is promising (legit) or not, by analyzing the contents of the project and the development team. can be through announcement thread or official website or review of many websites.
can also analyze the development team by looking for track record of profile and photo

It is impossible to be 100% sure about ICOs. Many look legit, but may will end to scam people. So do your own due diligence, study, search on google, social media, etc. informations about ICO project, team etc. only then you can invest. But always be careful and trust no one in this world. Anyone could scam you and take your money without even releasing the tokens!

is there a website that deals with international ico's?
tokenmarket.com
icoalert.com
coinschedule.com
smithandcrown.com and many more site that contain about the list of the project, but if you know that about all of the icos are international service.
There is a small percentage those are running to be the regional icos. i can say no one.

We do have websites and threads in bitcointalk on trustworthy ICOs. As suggested by many here. Do studies and researches,  consult with close experts on if you have. ICOs roadmap and whitepapaers would confirm you if it's a scam ICO or not.

By reading in this forum you can get some information about ICO. In my experience, i just look in everyone's signature and check their bounty.

Join some group and analyze together the project, sometimes it's good to decide with people who masters the analyzing of ICO,though the decision will always depends on us.
thats good idea, maybe you can join in various groups about ico discussions and do often to see reviews from various investors about an ico dude, you can see it on blogs, youtube, sites, forums, etc. make it a reference for your research where ico is legitimate and potential, so you can avoid ico scam

I usually find some ICOs in this forum, in my facebook, in my gmail, in website advertisements, also from my friends. When I find those ICOs, I will visit their website and look for the white paper and read about their ICO. We can't say that an ICO is a scam, we should take a risk and trust the ICO that we joined because if the ICO that we have joined became successful, we will earn profit.

Finding icos is easy, you can use this forum or other websites that keep watch on icos, now about the difficult thing, how to determine if something is a scam, the truth is there is not an easy answer for that, you need to take your time and read their ANN thread, their website, the comments of other posters their white paper and a lot more, this can be a time waster since you can invest days on this only to find out that it was a scam all along.

This forum, ICO alert, and definitely 4chan. Believe it or not, beyond the FUD'ing and FOMO'ing, 4chan is a good way to get info quickly

I think in the future, it will be just as important to be very careful about whether the ico is an existing company. The fairytale of the anonymous cryptoworld is over. No renowned exchange will list ico´s who have not done their homework. They do not want any problems. They want to do business.
There are always going to be exchanges willing to accept icos even if they do not seem like the most solid project, they earn money based on the people trading the coins they have listed, so as long as there is a market for those coins there is going to be exchanges willing to accept them despite the risks that may entail for them and the people trading those coins.

choosing ICO it is important not to forget how many tokens the developer keeps to himself and whether the emission of new tokens

That number is only important if the number of tokens they are going to keep to themselves is very high I remember reading that UNIKOIN backed by Ashton Kutcher and Mark Cuban plan to keep 80% of the coins to themselves and yet they wanted to raise like 100 million that means that out of the gate they earn 400 million dollars, and that in my book is a huge red flag.

I also think that a good project does not make sense to spend money on celebrities, it's better to invest in the project itself
