Hi, I've just setup a new pool in US for Sikka.
Please go to:
Pool fee is 0.5% only

Our official pool and other pools have an agreement to keep fee atleast 2% so that pool owners have some earning as well. We do not promote fee war among pools but that is not sustainable. we request if you also come along and keep the fee 2% minimum.

Thank you!
That request is only for the pool who got bounty. My pool is not

Bounty was open for all who came first they got, also since you did not get bounty for pool, then you should definitely increase fee to be profitable. I again request to not start fee war because no one will be able to compete with official pool if that starts. And lets all pool owners have same fee, miners will join closest to their location and we will also promote all pools which comply.

I don't need that pool fee, my hashrate is about 1/5 of the network. As long as everybody come to my pool and mine, i'm ok

Who will tell me, what kind of coin is this?
https://c-cex.com/?p=sikka-btc
Is this the same coin? It's being traded for a while now...

I've seen that as well. Looks like there are another crypto called sikka as well, maybe same guys?

We have no association with following Sikka ETH tokens:

https://ethplorer.io/address/0xb4b21c7a8a7b3f01129b7bb4ca1ec9fbd58f3a76#pageSize=50&tab=tab-holders

https://ethplorer.io/address/0x5a84b5f02c9a5783ddb8a67eeb9c9477711add87#pageSize=50&tab=tab-holders

Looks like someone tried with same name but never gained traction.
Before deciding our name we have checked coinmakertcap and bitcointalk forum. There was none. That is how we got our BT id as well.

Hope this clears everyone's doubt or confusion

Its because we have asked US miners to switch from official pool because we need to do maintenance.
But if you want to start fee war, we can drop to zero fee on official pool which we don't want to do, plus launch miner rewards on official pool which we take your pool to Zero.
If you want that, we don't mind. But its in good spirit to keep reasonable fee for everyone's benefit.

Updated Airdrop Sheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bm6xeUjKi-BoAkwpQV0kVDnozpxqnVX_jzOD8NOeqzc/edit?usp=sharing

I verified on one by one and mentioned status in notes column, will start making payments once get remaining details from few participants.

Also, switch to community supported pools EU: http://sikka.kiramine.com/  or Asia Pool: http://www.52pool.com:8088/
Till we will soon do maintenance on official pool.
Using other pools which do not supply our request to keep minimum 2% fee for pool owners expenses, can cause fee war which will not be good for anyone. We request for you to mine on the pools which comply with community guidelines.

This is not fair. What's the principle of decentralization? I build my own pool at http://sikka.zigtee.com and set the pool fee to 0.5%, it's my decision! You don't have the right to ask me to do what you say. Let the community decide, they will mine where is more profitable for them.

I have no right on you that is why i pleaded and you did not bother and asked us to do whatever we want.
Profitability is not only meant for miners, pool owners need to be profitable as well. We don't know if you have free money or free server and time to run pool. But we feel 2% fee is a very nominal fee for pool owners.

We want sustainable pools not which came early and vanished after sometime.

You yourself violated principle of decentralization by attracting miners by giving fee cut, that means you want to mines centralized on your pool. Whereas we are supporting a balance where everyone has level playing field and operation are profitable and sustainable for everyone.

We could have opted to start all region pools by ourselves only, we have enough resources to do that, but we opted to give bounty and let others get started to make it decentralized.
We have promoted non official pools equally.

But all this doesnt matter to people like, and if does, come along and walk with us.

Updated on main annoucement

Dear developer I have 66 sikka pending at http://pool.getsikka.org/ what is the minimum payment?

100 I believe.  I think I had few left too after I transfered to the new pool.

If you keep mining, you should get your coins.  That pool takes a long time to find a block.
Yep you are right 100, thank you!

im sorry but i dont understand the 2% part ... pools are about giving miners the best profit (and also at least covering their running cost) ... its up to the pool's owner to set whatever fee they want to impose ... sooner or later pools with best service only survive (even if they ask for 10% fee)

also going out and saying that you could drop your fee to 0% ... then do it ... after all, when the coin starts getting any value i'm sure you are betting on more than the 2% off the pools !!!

i think its more important to focus on expanding the coin's stability and reach than to go out with "we can do so and so" !!!

right now you have the main pools for this coins which is attracting im guessing most the network's hash power ... and in all coins that i've seen that only had one or two pools running for them with almost full monopoly over the hash power ... those coins died .... (ex. DBIX went from 40$ to 5$ and down because only one pool was dominating all the mining power) ...

i myself when i mine a coin, i build myself my own private pool and run my miners on it (not that i have that much hash power ... right now around 2k on cryptonote) but i rather mine solo than to go on a pool (not that it pays out every time with every coin) but ... that how i prefer it

As per our calculation 2% is minimum to meet infra and time spent by pool owners, same we have seen for majority of pools. We are not dropping fee because we want everyone to you best pool and not cheap pool. Fee war is not the solution to anything. We have added bounties for pools, which normal other coins don't give, no single pools should rule block generation.

We are promoting every pool equally.
