Really glad to see new innovation. I really hope it will be truly open-source, unlike Ripple kind of open-source. On a marketing point of view, the current name does not seem to sell well. How about having the word "green" in some part of it? It could be associated with green dollar bills and green efficiency.

I'd buy that for a dollar bitcoin!

Id like to participate too,
realy interested how this goes!
One Question:
OP says: "system ... discourages hoarding", but than there is "...generated units are distributed ... to all clients, the percentage of which will be proportional to the amount of EMU units within that account"
reading that i feel somehow encouraged to hoard EMU to get even more EMU... or am i wrong about that ?

I think what he meant to say was "..inversely proportional.."

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.

Anything to improve the current cut & paste shit looks like you have put in some effort and for that alone I will help the cause. I will help with your testing. Noel

I just finished reading the whole thread, and I still don't understand what prevents people from creating many hatching and clients voting an validating themselves. As described, I see a rampaging number of (virtual) nodes saturating the network.
For the proof-of-work / proof-of-stake debate, what we fundamentally need is something tied to IRL ... SHA/scrypt hashing proof-of-work ties to CPU/GPU, which distribution was considered evenly enough (relatively easy for an individual to have one or a few, hard to have a really large number) ... We know this is changing, especially with ASICS.
But to what we should ultimately tie the voting power / monetary creation is still unanswered ... Even biometrics informations would be bought from poor people by rich one if given the time ...

I'm interested in the idea as it reminds me of the consensus mechanism for provable trust-free voting I was drafting a few months ago ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=124477.0). This system however looks more complex and elaborate in its attempt to apply voting to money generation and validation. I look forward to see what comes out of it and wish it good luck! PS: I like the new name better than the old one. Yes, it might sound childish, but it's amicable and religion-free. Also count me in for testing (PM on this forum for contact)
