Some alts are really good investments,  but in most cases you have to be patient. You definitely have to research about the project behind the alt you are investing in,  also check the team behind it and read the whitepaper.

I prefer to invest in altcoins because of chance of big profit with lower investment than bitcoin. But you have to be careful choosing your portfolio.
Personnally, lately i invested in Waves, NIO, CAG. I picked low prices and i hope one or more of them moons the next year.

For me yes. You should buy altcoins if you are looking a short term investment. It might be profitable. But, if you are looking long term investment, I suggest to buy bitcoin.

The best time to buy altcoins is when bitcoin price is rising. the logic here is that, most of the time, altcoin price will fall when bitcoin price rises. In that case, you can buy more altcoins when the prices are low, and that is when bitcoin price is high. Now that bitcoin price is high, it is the best time to buy altcoins and hold them for long time. You should only trade or sell these altcoins when the bitcoin price starts to fall down or when the altcoin price rises up.

This will depend in your belief, actually in my observation in this industry most of the community member here they got their profit mostly in    the ICO bounty campaign which is most of the was altcoins, including myself even until now still doing it because its profitable to me.

wow , great investment , i agreed investment on eth , and some altcoins will have a good future , i trying invest on xrp ,eth and other new altcoins.
maybe i will invest for long term and waiting their price will pump on mid-2018 , yeah , im same , my biggest gains profitable is from alts too , like invest on ICO with a good concept and promising then i hold for long term and waiting double profit.

It is good idea to invest money in altcoins specially to thus altcoins that has potential market value in the future like ethereum. I invest my money on eth and hold it for future used because I know in the future it would be a worth of fortune and I have also other altcoins from my bounty rewards.

Yes certainly, and it does not mean how much the price of Bitcoin will be — it will not affect much on the prices of altcoins. Just follow their rates before you decide which of them you want to invest into and then buy several alts.

So better if we invest in bitcoins and get profit day by day, rather than buying alts and stuck our money for few months.

According to my experience, Altcoins will become the next trending in next year or sooner than is next month.
Currently, Bitcoin has not SegWit2x, its problem still exist and only the problem of Bitcoin confirmation block happen again, the cryptocurrency user will transfer to other potential altcoins have high liquidity.
